Default Bedroom Mission - 11-07-2009, 12:25 PM

Okay, I'm pretty new to the whole 'home decor' concept, but I'm ready to learn.

I'm really keen to change my room. My biggest problem is that this house is a rental. I am not allowed to make any permanent changes to any of the walls, floor or the roof - this means that whatever gets done has to be temporary. My second biggest problem is that I'm strapped for space. The room is INCREDIBLY small to do things in (it's smaller than the average guest room), so nearly everything has to be compact.

If there is anything that can stick to the wall, I can use it. I'm also thinking about different things that can hang on the wall, different curtains (the ones that came with the house aren't a pretty picture), maybe chopping and changing the furniture and a different bedspread/pillow/cushions? I haven't got a very big budget either.

I can measure the room tomorrow (it's nearly half past one in the morning right now), but I've uploaded 4 pictures of the room here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ciao!

This blog offers up some great templates that you can print off and use to cut out pretty scenes on something sturdier like card stock. I'm in the process of redoing my room, and once I'm in the decorating faze I plan on making some of these for above my desk. I'll probably use double sided tape to adhere them to my wall, but I know there's a whole slew of other easily removable adherers out there you could use.

your local dollar store should have some simple storage boxes. take a look around, there could be other things that you can use!
you can also get some scrap fabric from the scrap section at the fabric store for very cheap and find stuff to make out of it.

these are about $4 at walmart, theyre very small and help with little things like hair stuff or office supplies. you can put them on the shelves to save some space.
you can also get bed risers at walmart for better under bed storage.
