For T shirt recon's a plus size gal has to hit the guys department. A man's 3x is polenty of fabric. Again the princess seam. Make a two piece bodice. black on the outside and color on the middle is very slimming.

I too would love to see some plus sized stuff. I can't just go into any thrift store and find something that already fits me, let alone easily grab something 2 sizes bigger to refashion. I'm just not the right size. There's usually one big sizes section and I don't fit half of THAT stuff. I'd love some more 50's style dress tutes, or pants... or skirts... or tops that aren't so fitted or don't show off a lot of skin.
I would also love to find a tute on how to make shorts out of a tshirt - seeing as I can't wear a dress in summer without shorts or stockings underneath because of thigh chafing.
I LOVE watching all the threadbanger stuff but I can't wear most of it.

YES! I always run into this problem because I have an enormously large bust compared to the rest of me. Nothing ever fits!
That is the whole reason I got into DIY in the first place....

I've read through all eight pages of this post and I've decided on Sunday I'll post some plus sized tutorials. If I get some decent response, I'll continue posting them. If not, boo for you. Kay?

So, would we like to learn how to re-size a pattern first, how to cover up unsightly arms so we can wear that cute tank, or how to turn a shirt into an awesome pair of pajama shorts, I can even do pattern drafting, if that's what you want to learn about.

I agree that tutorials on sexxi dresses would be lovely. I think I've got a decent pattern buried around here somewhere...

Ah, pitifully, I didn't have the opportunity to post at all this week. Bleh. It's been crazy busy. I have two luffly tutorials all written up, I'll be posting them tomorrow, as it is much too late tonight.

One is for a simple sleeve cover up, so you can wear your favorite tank top without worrying about showing off your arms, and the other is a simple, draft to your size skirt, that looks great on people of all sizes!

oh gosh, I've slacked off on linking some of my tips for resizing clothes for the curvy girl.
I'm in the middle of constructing my designs for my shop.

Working on now:
The perfect 50's rockabilly dress in sizes 16-24
A sexy teddy/nighty in different colors and styles.
T-shirt recons for plus size. I own a ton of them.
And gothabilly babydoll dresses with empire waists.

I'll add these when I'm done k

My little etsy shop of horrors.
EXTENDED 25%OFF SALE AT MY SHOP TILL THIS FRIDAY!
