1. CHeck yo thread
2. Check the tension
3. Change your foot! Most important thing when working with very stretchy or shifty fabric is to change your foot, most preferably to an even feed foot(aka walker foot)

actualy that does sound likely, i hardly ever mess with my tention im afriad i break the machine

I am by no means an expert. but It sounds like your tension on the teeth is too high try lowering it . For sewing t shirt material I usually put tissue paper on the part that touches the teeth keeps it from ripping the fabric. The tissue paper rips right off after ward. hope this helps
