Highly inspired by the threadbangers, which I found over the weekend as I was learning how to knit. I decided to DIY and go get shirts from the local Good Will and turn them into hip little bags. My first and favorite find was a cute tank top which I thought the details were amazing to start with, so not alot of work.

My First Project!
Concept: Inspired by all the t-shirt bags I am finding on the internet and how easy they are to make. Also I adore purses and buy them constantly.

Materials: Cute large tank top from Good will, Black thread and a pair of thread scissors and heavy duty scissors.

(Not a tutorial just very proud of myself)
First I hand closed the bottom since I don't have a sewing machine. Though a sewing machine would have made it faster and probably better quality but whatever. Squaring the corners so they has the cute tote curve.

Then I cut out the built in bra that was inside. I might use the extra material for a black heart on the front but that will come much later when I am sick of it.

Then I cut the tank top straps and reattached them to the cut strap on their side (front verses back) so they were handles. And all done! Really easy took me about an hour to do all the stitching by hand and I really love it. Can't wait to take it to my class tomorrow.

Note on Photos: The first two pictures I turned up the brightness and contrast so you could see the cute details of the shirt/bag. While the last two are in their original high quality shot.
