So, here is one of the many projects i am working on. i just started it so dont all critical, just though it might intrest someone who has not done something similar. the materials are ladies tights and packing foam.
my mum is worried about me now, as I did not give a reason why i asked for her old tights. http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o474/bzarrr/Photo28.jpg:eek:

I like the idea, but what's it gonna be? Or is it a sort of freeform thing?

I tried something like this only with old t-shirt material and stuffing and used the needle sculpting. I was going for a kind of gnome elf thing I think. I was pretty good for my first time. I wish I had a picture of it.

Wow that's so cool. Man, there are so many types of stuffing you can use. How did you use the foam packing material? I'm very interested.

the packing material was just sheets of foam inlays from between china plates. i hot glued them together, also used contact adhesive. the finish sculpture should be a character based the boogie man based from scottish myth. what you should see now is sort of the right upper quarter of his face.

well, he is right at the brass tacks of his development. i have had to deconstruct him as i want wadding to represent muscles and give a white base for the coloration of the tights. the foam packing is grey, or gray. no sure the correct for that colour, but it does not show up the depth i want for tonality. thanks for telling me you did it in the fifth grade. i feel so blue peter now.

Ahaha! Aw, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel .. "blue peter".:(

Nono, yours is much better. Just because I did it does not make it good. ;) We had theater people come in and teach us how to do it. Plus, ours were just stuffed with cotton and we sewed in certain places to make the indents. Yours is much more complicated. And better. ;)
