This is a nest I crocheted from left over yarn. Normally I'm a knitter, but can crochet a few simple things. It is about 6 inches across. I will donate it and some more nests to Wildlife Response, Inc (http://www.wildliferesponse.org). in Virginia.
They sent me this e-mail today:
...please now we can use as many as you can send! We have LOTS of babies his time of year, and first of spring we are back rehabbing the wee ones. Very sweet of you to offer- we have no time, except to feed hungry mouths!I learned about the wildlife rescue nests from Bev's Country Cottage. You can get the pattern and more info here (http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/nest.html).
If you can do a single crochet stitch and handle two strands of yarn, please consider helping out!
