My dad's gf got this in Germany and gave it to me. I never wore it though because it was too big. so I pinned down the... (I don't really know what to call 'em) the racing stripes. It made the shirt smaller and cooler.

Sorta, except usually darts are tapered and are only around the waist or under the cleavage for a waist-y effect

I think what I did was probably closer to making a hem, except not where a hem needed to be.
