We seem to be having a weird thingy going on with ThreadBanger private messages/e-mails with internet porn. Sorry about that. :(
In the meantime, change your password ASAP, OK?!
That way if your account was hacked, the changed password may help you keep your current account.

I got a strange pm from g0tfa1th. It's odd because she already had 59 actual posts, so I think she might have been hacked? I saved the (poorly html coded) pm as an image and deleted it from my pm box in case someone needs proof of these things, or needs to see one so that it can be stopped.

I've been a moderator with "super-moderator" status for a vBulletin forum for about a year, and I know vBulletin itself is a target for spambots, and pornbots as well. Bots are sophisticated, and without multiple moderators they can completely take over forums. Admins will probably notice that most of the porn/spam is originating from Russia. Since TB is on a Red Hat server running Apache 2.0.52, a simple tweaking of the main Apache configuration file could drop all http requests from Russian IPs, which might be a good place to start (unless you have legitimate Russian members). A better solution would be to configure the firewall of the server to drop these connections. If Red Hat is like many other Linux distros, and uses IPtables, then this would be the optimum place to drop packets sent from Russian IPs.
I'll go back to lurking now...
