Now its summertime here in the UK I decided I need a rain cover for my bicycle saddle, as the summer showers can be quite bad.

I've made it from a 40p reusable carrier bag from my local shop.

I traced around the gel saddle cover and cut around just over an inch bigger (2 or more inches would have been better)http://lh5.ggpht.com/youthworker.org/SJ75a2U3eUI/AAAAAAAAAMw/UmaCUqfxhJo/s288/Dsc01008.jpg

and sewed a channel for the lace, I've used a hiking boot lace

After that I sewed on a flap for the nose part of the saddle to hold the front on

Now I have a wet weather cover for when I leave the bike outside!

I need to learn to do the right face together thing so that the seems don’t show so much on the nose part of the cover but its just a proto type so im not too upset.

Brilliant. . . . I know I would've messed up the measurements in one way or another.
