guitar string ring!

so recently i changed the strings on my guitar, and after ward i had left over string/wire and i had my old strings and so i decided to do something with them so i made a sweet ring!!
I just took the exccess and wraped it around itself forming a circle and pulling it to the right size, than with a pliers i bent over the edges in a knot so they didn't poke me =] I'd post pictures but i dont know how = /

Great idea! I tried making a bracelet out of one but It kept poking me but now becuase of you I know how to make my next one so it dosnt poke me.

you can go to http://tinypic.com and upload photos for free without having an account :)
then copy the img code to the direct photo and then past it like so: the url for the photo

o.O I've always been scared that I would accidentally slice myself with a guitar string.

Just save the pic on your computer then do an Advanced post (you can just go to the quick reply & instead of hitting "Post Quick Reply", hit "Go Advanced"), then go down to Additional Options, then Attach Files. Hit the Manage Attachments button. hopefully you got it from here, but if you need further instructions let me know :)

Then sumbit the reply, & there will be a thumbnail of the image at the bottom of your post. From there people can click on the thumbnail & see your lovely creation!


& can you make a tute, maybe? I feel bad everytime I change my strings because I just throw the old ones away :( I'd really like to recycle them somehow!

Cool! I usually have some strings lying around...

I saw a similar idea courtesy of my boyfriend, oddly enough. A friend of his, as a joke, gave him a guitar string friendship bracelet. It was only one string, but you could get fancy and braid several or bend them into pretty designs.
