ooo i like that.. yaknow what would make it even better? if you put a layer mask on the tiled layer (i'm assuming that one's on top and just set in like... multiply or something right?) and made a radial gradient thing so it kinda fads in the lower right corner... then you could put writing or something...

or maybe i'm just weird o_O

Hey Ryan - did you make a separate layer for the colors?

If so, I would suggest trying a very slight Gaussian blur on the color layer and making that layer just a little bit transparent. Assuming you have a b/w layer behind it, it'll increase the contrast and perceived color depth.

I would have put some lighter curls in on top to make it look more realistic, especially since the flash hits your face but doesn't appear to hit your hair. plus, it would give your hair a luscious shine. :)
