Made this necklace today.
It's a vintage metal bobbin I bought for my sewing lessons 3 years ago.

If you look closely, the dangles are actually snap buttons and a safety pin.

Materials I used:
Thin chain, vintage metal bobbin, safety pin, snap button,
and small metal hoops.

lol, yeah I see what you mean.
They are all little metals...Pretty matchy-matchy. hehe.

I really wanted to show you guys how the snaps and safetly pin
dangles when I move, it's a lot of fun to watch! :)
But it's hard to show in photos.
So you have to imagine it.

errr

why you say the bobbin is 'vintage'?

Adorable! I love it, and it's so simple.

Gee, I have some metal bobbins I'm not using... (got them in a craft swap, and my machine uses plastic bobbins).

I've also been wanting to use them as a stamp for art journalling, but this is also a cool idea!

It's very cute (maybe not vintage) and a great way to express your love of sewing.

Actually I bought the bobbins from my sewing teacher.
My sewing school used very old sewing machines.

The first owner of the bobbins was a student of my sewing teacher.
The second owner was my sewing teacher,
then she sold the bobbins to me. (coz I only have the plastic ones at home)

So it's third-hand, I believe. Does that count vintage? I don't know... :)

A stamp is a great idea jane!
The bobbins had all the funky circles on them, right?
I can see the stamp print in my head, totally cute!!! :)

Yeah... Now you remind me, they are all sewing materials.
Hail to the Threadbanger spirit! :p
