View Full Version : A quick way to Jazz up your T-Shirt Swimsuit

All I did was sew across some stripes in the same color I did the rest of teh stiching in. They're not all exactly straight, but I thought it made it look cool that way. When I get the bottom done I'll put up a pic.

i like it!! but my lines would be horribly crooked~
i'm adding pretty buttons instead

also like how you had it tied in the front with a bow, it's really cute!!

i have found that when it comes time to sew perfectly straight hems (like when making curtains), if you use a disappearing ink pen, which is available from most sewing stores, and a straight edge you have exponentially better results.
keep in mind that i've only ever seen purple pens, so i guess the pens wouldn't work that well on blue or red or purple fabrics. in which case i would suggest using a a tailor's chalk.

Thats kinda what I did to mine, I didnt sew stripes tho, I sew like triangles kinda. =P

You can also us a bar of soap. The freebies from hotels are the perfect size or just swipe one from the bathroom that's gotten a little on the skinny side.

Don't use this tip on dry clean only fabric, though!
