Do you ever feel like the day gets tooooo stressful and you just want to knit, sew or make something to take the edge off of the day???

Some people drink a beer or two(or three) I like to craft.

I did that once..
But then I found out that I can't use it when I'm mad
Just like when I drive, I press to hard...
so I end up sewing too fast and going crooked and messing up my project x(

I'm more likely to derail my stress with planning a craft or art project. I can do prep work like gathering tools or or looking through my buttons and fabric or paints and brushes, but I don't usually start the real work. The vibe just isn't right.

martinimama, I do that all the time! One of my favorite quotes I've seen is "I knit so I do not kill people." I almost always have some sort of craft project with me at all times, in case of a stress relieving emergency. I've been known to pull some knitting out at work to calm me down after dealing with an extremely difficult customer.

Usually when I am alone I pick up a project and start that.
When I get angry my hands hurt authritus pain. D:

Thats great for a bumper sticker.

Yea, it made me laugh when I first saw it too. But when you think about it, most knitters don't knit because they can't afford something in a store (unlike knitters before us)...because it actually costs more to make things yourself now when it comes to knitting. So why do they knit? The only thing I can think of is as a stress reliever.

On a side note, I've got tons of knitting bags for all sizes of projects...but I'm thinking of making yet another so I can put that quote on it. Either that, or I'll make a shirt and put it on it.

Knitting is super stress releaving. My mom does it all the time. drives Dad nuts, but what are you gonna do.
Personaly, after a stressful week, I get my girls together and we do a craft night. Planning everything helps get your mind off of things. We even do emergency craft nights for each other!

crafting is definitely therapeutic. Unfortunately, I always get the urge to craft at like 12:30 on school nights!

I don't think that somebody could craft as much as I do unless they enjoyed it. Well maybe if they're masochistic.
