I swallowed a penny when I was little and I haven't died yet. I don't know what happened to it because I was two or three but I'm pretty sure I never went to the doctor about it.
But you probably took it out, I think you would have noticed swallowing it. Unless you swallow your gum a lot, then you might have sub-consciously swallowed it thinking it was gum or something.

On a similar note... JSedai is very clumsy, and drops food off her fork all the time... but once it passes the table it vanishes. It's not in her lap, it's not on the floor, on the chair, on her shirt (although she does feed her shirt on occasion). So perhaps JSedai's space/time rip transfered to you, and went where all the socks from the dryer end up.

Ahh, I've swallowed a necklace pendant thingy, and many random coins. I was always alright, just a bit freaked out.
But seriously, I don't see how you could've swallowed that big of an object and not notice it.

hmm...One of my teachers had a story like this.....


"At the school I used to teach at, there was this boy. He always lost his papers. No matter what, he could NOT find them anywhere. Then we decided to keep his papers in a folde rin the classroom. The folder NEVER left the classroom. Then the papers in the folder started disappearring into a black hole.

Then, one day when our class went to church, somehow SOME WAY when he was kneeling, he got stuck -__-' (honestly, how can you get stuck??) and when he managed to get free his shoe flew off and "walked" (Tumbled) across the pew and into an old lady's lap. Strange, strange, boy."

Yep! The guitar pick is lost in a black hole. Simple.
