I know what you mean! When The Specials were doing there reunion tour I wanted to go see, but ya know how some bands just don't sound the same when they are older.... as much as i LOVE the Specials. I totally agree, in the footage, The Specials just looked kinda tired and old. I want them to keep the music alive, but IMO they could achieve it much better by going on to better things. Like Mick Jones is a producer now and works with bands like The Libertines and Hard Fi... or be like Brian Eno and go on the telly talking about weird stuff ^^;;;
But we still love them no matter what. The Dolls epitomised that sort of nonsense, they were fools on a lot of counts, but we still love them. *sighs* I needs music now.

I know serious!!! A lot of people were fools but it is all right... kinda like the germs and there first show... ha they didnt even play any songs. Anyways it just kinda sucks cuz everything is being so watered down these days.... like with punk, most people think punk is green day or blink 182 and when you name great punk bands from the past they just stare at you blankly. I guess it is kinda true when they say punk and ska are dead :(

I haven't seen a thread for this yet, so I figured 'Why not?'
I know a lot of threadheads love music while sewing/crafting/whathaveyou, and i was wondering what your favourite band/ musical artist to listen to is?
(It doesn't have to be for WHILE you sew, it could just be in general)
Mine is Panic at the Disco.

My absolute favorite artist is the lovely, Jenny Lewis. She does solo stuff and she's also the singer of Rilo Kiley (which is where my screen name comes from if you didnt notice). I even went as far as to take an owl from Rilo Kiley's "more Avdenturous" Album and get it tattooed on my body. Me and my friend both got the tattoo actualy.
I don't have a good angle of it on me, but here it is on her.

Taking Back Sunday is awesome! I saw them in Toronto and they're so good live. I still wear their T-shirt everywhere.

OK! I merged just about 5 threads with the same concept together:
