I have a collared shirt that doesn't fit anymore. Besides using it for scrap cloth, anyone have a good idea for it? It's a real Bobby Brady looking thing, vertical stripes in pink and 2 shades of green. Any idea is appreciated, thanks very much.

Oh yeah, I'm new to the DIY Fashion scene, so something simple would be best, but I do enjoy a challenge.

Depending on the way in which it does not fit, you might try what I'm intending to do to a shirt of mine that is irreversibly stained. Basically, plan is to cut off the sleeves, fold in around the new armpit holes and stitch it (so it's effectively a waistcoat with a collar). Then fun things can be done to it, possibly dyeing/selective slashes etc. I might also try reinforcing the collar with wire so it stands up properly all time. Then just get some arsekickingly amazing arm tattoos, a pair of sunglasses and voila!

Will hopefully put up photos when accomplished.

If it was me, I'd make it into a halter top, keepin the collar on it! I have a shirt like that sort of already, but that my not be your thing... :P

Thanks for the ideas everyone, and keep 'em coming.

I'm actually excited about the halter top idea, but I don't know anything about women's clothing.

As for how it fits, it's just too small. The cuffs are at my wrists, and the shoulders could rip at any moment.

So like I said, keep the ideas coming. I might post some pictures of the shirt if I get a chance.

Ok, I decided at about 1 AM last night, to make a pillow case. As I was sewing on a button, I broke the eye of the needle I was using (yes, it was very intense sewing), so I'm a little worried about if it will stay on. But overall, I think it looks pretty cool. Although this morning, I woke up thinking I had slept with Bobby Brady...

Oh, Pictures are included.

You should put an old tie on it too :)

Here it is, as requested. I didn't sew the tie on, mostly because it's one of my favorites, not to mention expensive. Un photo es incluida.

I probably butchered that last sentence. I know I forgot an accent somewhere.

Now that's a pillow with character.

Great pillow, just reminds me a little to much of a hacked up torso, but I think thats part of it's appeal. Very unique and creative idea.

I'm working on another one. It was so easy to make, how could I not? I'm going to have a little more fun with the next one. Maybe a few accessories? We'll see.

Adding the tie was a great suggestion. Hilarious!
