My Prom Dress!

i saw the perfect dress at the mall, but instead of buying it i decided to make it myself, well with my moms help teehee. I ended up changing some of the details. well take a look for yourself. i love it and i want another excuse to wear it again, it is my favorite formal dress yet! it totally expressed my style.

p.s. if i had bought it i woulda spent prolly about $200...
i spent $70 on buying the materials to make it.
yuuuuh! big saver!
the only thing i actually bought was a clutch because i messed up the one i was making, and my necklace and bracelet because i ran out of beads and time X(
my mom even did my own hair, which took an hour and almost a full can of hairspray XD

i still kept the top the same, i loved the detail on the original one, and i just added a centerpiece on the bow, i thought it made it look a bit prettier

i couldnt decide whether i wanted it short or long so i went with both lol
annnd instead of using all black satin, i used some fabric with embroidered lime green polka dots, made it look even cuter!

and for my earrings i also made them: i used some beads i had laying around and some mini records, totally matched my personality =]

p.s. my friend Angel also made her first dress for prom, it turned out beautiful, i wish i had a full picture of her to show you guys, and she made it all by herself, i was so proud of her :D

and the way the front is shorter than the back
