This is a Halloween mask I made Two years ago. Just figured I would tell you guys that dryer lint in a great medium for many things. Jewelry, masks, sculptures. I used cardboard, newspaper, lint, feathers, and beads. Inspired By Labyrinth.

AWESOME mask. There are so many great mediums out there that nobody considers as anything but garbage. Very creative!

Love Labyrinth too... my older son's middle name is Jareth. :o

what?! Could you point me in the direction of some ways to use dryer lint? That is such a FANTASTIC idea...I didn't even know that you could use it for anything

That is so incredibly cool! Did you mold it like papier mache'?

Dryer lint can also be used in making home-made paper! My bro did that once for a school project, with mom's help. She'd done a load of jeans, followed by a load of red/pink laundry, and the paper turned out a pretty shade of lilac.

i told my friends that i made paper out of lint when i was in kindergarten,

I love the mask!
I've recently made a couple with my older bro for fun.

I knew lint could be used, but I never found out how.
I would love a Tut for lint!!!

Yeah, you basically take some non toxic white glue and make a clay from it. I made a cardboard base, used paper mache (old school newspaper and flour) to form it into the shape that I wanted. Added a few more layers of paper mache... then added the clay like lint to add details and contours. There are a few area where i put the paper mache over the lint to seal a shape. It has a really cool feel to it... actually feels like bone.

Wow! It's amazing how people discover ways to use everyday household garbage in place of stuff we NEED every day!

Keep these ideas coming!

Is it wrong that I want to ask my laundromat for their dryer lint?!

They like me a lot, and know I'm artsy and make my own clothing, but I think they'd think I'd gone off the deep end.
