So, I've been feeling creative lately. Let's try to do this with as little blabbing as possible. I tend to go on for a while...

A Tinkerbell shirt that I painted, since the only Tinkerbell shirts I ever find are pink.

Not really something I made... rather destructed. It's an old wind up watch, but the faceplate was ugly, so I took it off to show off the cool clockwork stuff underneath. Don't know what I'm going to do about the band.

A necklace I made out of a defunct-computer mouse. I just used some wire cutters to cut the microchip into small pieces. The hole was already there. The chain it's on is wires from the same mouse.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/RedneckRio/photos/Garfield5.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/RedneckRio/photos/Garfield6.jpg
A Garfield t-shirt I painted. The claw marks run all the way down from the shoulder. Looks like he's shredding it. Kinda fun.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/RedneckRio/photos/Earring1.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/RedneckRio/photos/Earring2.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/RedneckRio/photos/Earring4.jpg
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/RedneckRio/photos/Earring8.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/RedneckRio/photos/Earring7.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/RedneckRio/photos/Earring5.jpg
Some earrings I made. I don't have pierced ears, so I made little clips that I can stick onto my ears. The charms are connected to a little claw clasp, so I can switch charms whenever I want. Mix and matching earrings is cooler than matching ones. There's a key charm and a hoop, and then a spring from an old click pen, and another piece of microchip from the computer mouse.

I actually have computer printouts that I trace onto the clothing... it's kinda hard to describe XD It's sorta a combo between freehand and stenciling. *shrug*

ohh the shirts are so cool! and i really like the watch, it looks really cool w/o the faceplate.
and how did you do the clip on earring thing? that is so awesome, i don't have my ears pierced either and sometimes i just want that extra bling! :) also, do the clip ons hurt at all? cause with my experience from store-bought they are kind of painful if they're on for too long.

the pierceless earings are splendid

The earrings are just 20 gauge wire in a long U shape. It just slides onto my ear. Well... it's more like... like this.

So it's got a little loop at the bottom to hang the stuff from. And I know it doesn't hurt at all when I first put them on, but I just made them today, so I don't know how they hold up in the long term. Also, I wouldn't hang anything too heavy from them, because I don't know how easy it would be to pull them off. But with what I've got on them now, they seem to hold up just fine.

Pardon me for the double post.

I just gave Tink a tumble through the wash, and she didn't exactly survive. I managed to patch her up, so she's fixed now, but from now on, acryllic paint on clothing is to be washed *inside out* and *not* to be put in the dryer. Just so you know :)

The Tinkerbell and Garfield shirts are awesome! And the watch and jewelery are very steampunk. I love it!

Thanks! I've taken a real liking to steampunk things lately. That's the look I was going for with the watch. Now I just have to figure out what to do about the watch band to make it look MORE steampunk.

I love that garfield shirt, and the idea to use spring clasp for the earrings is genius!

love the earrings, and totally dig the watch. maybe the watch can be transformed into a brooch pin?

How did you make the little one that clips onto your ear? I really like that one!

Next time mix acrylic paint with Delta Ceramcoat textile medium. It transforms acrylic paint into a washable fabric paint.

Amen about all tinker bell shirts being pink. I hate pink. It's the most...irritating color in the world.

You could totally use different ribbons that you find in craft bins at Goodwill r something. That way you can switch them out whenever you want!

The earring that was made from the spring in a click pen is so amazingly cool... I wonder if I have some old pens lying around here!

And I second the recommendation of textile medium... I mix it about 50-50 with my acrylic paints when I paint on fabric. Washes great and stays flexible!
