I met Mamma Sass! And she is Awesome!

Yay! First ThreadBanger meet-up. OK, only 2 people, but hey, what the heck.

My bf and I got to see a staged reading with the performing group she's in, Babes With Blades, with a workshopping discussion from the audience afterwards. They had one staged fight scene, and it was cool! I think I wanna do that.

Mamma Sass is so damn funny! And it was a fun performance, and they had plenty of cupcakes to share with the audience. I wound up snarfing up a few small pastries from Trader Joes.

It was great to meet with her afterwards, and say hi.

And I definitely wanna do fabric shopping. :)

it would be awesome to get a bunch of people from the forums to meet up and have like a huge diy party. And there could be like classes that you could take to teach how to make your own stencil or like everyone making hoodies together. lol just a crazy awesome idea.

Well, let me just say that it was a pleasure to meet you as well! And we should get ourselves out and find us some fabrics. Dude! We should make a video and submit it! Egads grandma! Maybe we can have an action sequence, too! I know where to get some swords. ;)

I was actually thinking if it's possible for us to all find a way to organize some kind of Thread Head event. Granted we're all spread out across the globe, but other message boards do it. Why not us? I think we should start a thread where we can throw ideas around for where we could meet, when and what we would do.

I do have some baton twirling experience, so I know how to not whack myself with a baton (much).

The only thing is, I will NOT swing on a curtain rope like Errol Flynn. I would totally break my neck.
