I agree that it was short. Personally, I already know how to make stuff like that. It would have been nice to have it coupled with something else.

Which poses the question: What else could you do on a road trip to pass the time craft-wise? Embroidery? Stitch work? Crochet? What else?

I think some drawn illustrations of the knotting mixed in with your live action might be helpful, or 2 different colors of hemp so it is easier to see what each cord is doing to create the knot. Maybe add some other knot options, too.

My gramms taught me how to macrame (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macrame). Nice to see it is a craft that never dies :)

Hey maybe you could also add the history of a craft like macrame.

Being a camp counselor, I run into this stuff all the time.

Some other cool touches:
add colored thread that matches your bead/shell to the hemp strands (it's easier to keep track of if you wrap it around the hemp strand)

if you alternate which hemp strand you use for the knot, you create a straight "ladder" effect, instead of the "helix" effect in the video

Use anything you find. Old metal washers make cool centers, I took an old acorn top and poked two holes in it, and made that into my center.

Happy Hemping!

I liked this week's better than last week's.

Simply because this one felt more accessible and open - not everyone has a spare suit lying aroun,d but string's easy to find :p

I don't particularly care for hemp jewelry. It's a little too granola for me. I'd love to see a video on making wire jewelry.

I liked it and am probably going to go out and get some nice cord and try it out.

Quick and easy projects rock!
