View Full Version : Bird Headband, and spring ring

I was inspired by the Threadbanger blog and made my own bird headband. Covered a plain black plastic band in some more appropriate scrap fabric, and made a bird from clay, feathers and beads. The ring iis done and I'm super excited about the concept. It was originally depicted in Bazaar magazine for a whooping 20 thousand dollars. I recreated it, and although it's not a perfect replica, I'm pleased.

u did a very nice job on the ring! i was never good at rings i cant even get em remotly circular.......is there a reason the ring in the mag is Sooooo expencive?

Very smexy headband. I shall have to find the pick of the headband I made. It has bows on the side, it's adorable!

The ring is unbelievable!! Do you have an etsy or do you know of someone on there that makes similar things? because I would buy that...

I love the use of the bird and the feathers on the headband. It looks so chic! And such a simple DIY project. This is definite inspiration.

I am always thinking of what kind of accessories would be cute for spring, and this definitly goes on top :)

yeah, totally. and I'll try not to make it 10 minutes long. Lol. I'm making a ring inspired by science of sleep for a swap and I'll get on the video tutorial.

And as far as etsy goes, I was thinking of opening an account for the plushies I make.

I love this jewellery but I think it's made with real birds and I couldn't wear a dead animal on my neck :)
