thanks for the links ladyjanewriter.
I'm a bit hesitant about putting the email sign-up link on the original post for fear of spamming, especially since we don't have control over what they send, though certainly you're welcome to let people know about it if you feel it's a good service.

Ok so all the links im about to give you I have found myself over the course of the past 3 weeks. For the sake of saving myself from being questioned about them (in case people dont get why i posted them here) I'm going to post a short description as to why each link would help on threadbanger. So i hope you enjoy them. I know i have/am.
http://tricklife.com/This site has an entire area dedicated to beauty and lifestyle. This includes videos of how to do certain makeup styles and how to do certain hairstyles. This may not sound like threadbanger stuff to you but threadbangers all about DIY and these are DIY. It could help you find the perfect style to go with your outfit.
http://www.curbly.com (http://www.curbly.com/)I have found alot of good tutorials on this site. they also have threadbanger videos so they have to be good right? Other than the fashion DIY's they also have decorating DIY's so you can base your room on that new top or vice versa.
http://www.tutorialized.com (http://www.tutorialized.com/) Ok how many people like photoshop and paintshop etc.? Well your probably wondering the relevance of that question to this board. It's actually very simple. In middle school we made some t-shirt designs on the computer and printed them onto iron on paper and put them on our shirts. Not only did we have shirts we made ourselves. No one else had them and the design was all our own. This site has loads of tutorials for different photo effects and what not. So You can edit your personal pictures ( or w.e you want) and print them on iron on paper and make your own design, cool huh?
http://ducttape.pbwiki.com (http://ducttape.pbwiki.com/) How many duct tape fans we got around here? Well this site features tutorials ranging from roses, to wallets, to even corsets. There are more tutorials than that but you got to check it out for yourself. It even includes backpacks for all of you school goers.
http://www.ducktapeclub.com/ducktivities/Sorry couldn't help myself. If you didn't get enough tape with the last link here is more. This one even has flipflops and a duct tape rose pen. Alot of other cool stuff too. Dontcha just love duct tape?
http://woollywormhead.blogspot.com/2005/11/turn-plastic-bags-into-yarn-get.html
environmentally conscious? Like to knit? Crochet even? Well this is the tutorial for you. In this tutorial you learn how to convert plastic grocery bags into a medium you can use to knit or crochet (as opposed to the conventional yarn). Not only will you have your own one of a kind creation you will be helping the environment by recycling.
Those may not seem like alot of links but in reality there are alot of tutorials on each site. Hope these links help and thanks for this board because i wanted to post these links for a while i just didn't know which topic to put it under :/

http://teenfashion.about.com/od/diyfashion/DIY_Fashion.htm This link actually has a few good DIY's and it also has a link to cosmo girl diy's as well. It shows you how to make a halter top out of a t-shirt
http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/crafts This is the site for Diynetwork (whic for those of you who dont know its a television station devoted to all kinds of diy) It features loads of different crafts you can make from knitting a polo or scarf to sewing onto your wardrobe. It even includes how-to halloween costumes.
http://www.howtomakeahat.com/ Um I'm not sure how good these are (because some of the materials seem a bit odd) but this site is pretty much straight forward, it teaches you how to make different hats for different occasions.
http://www.squidoo.com/ducttapesandals/ a cool tutorial on how to make duct tape sandals. (not flip flops)
http://www.instructables.com/id/EBDDGTU4P1ET9K559Z/ how to make a cute little plushie. Not the neatest specimen but adorable none the less.
http://groxie.com/2007/03/13/ninjas-or-how-to-make-your-own-toys/ another plushie tutorial but this one seems a bit more clean cut.
http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/socks.php knitting patterns for socks and fishnet stockings etc.
http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer04/PATTvelvetoblivion.html cute knitting projects.
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/how-to-loom-knit.html How to loom knit which is accompanied by projects for a loom. You can purchase a loom normally in your wal-mart knitting section (possibly another craft store I'm not sure) or you can order them online. I personally own the whole set (the knitty knitter looms) and love them.
http://yarngear.com/looms/projects1.htm Making sock like slippers on a knitting loom. I personally have tried this project and got very nice comfortable slippers.
http://www.provocraft.com/projects/projects.php?prdindex=kniftyknitter&dsp=list
more loom projects. http://www.bellaonline.com/subjects/653.asp Free sewing patterns and projects (theres even one for a cute little dog jacket)

Yahooanswers craft section. It may seem odd but by using this you may find that other people have the same problem you are having and can get answers from it. I actually found threadbanger through yahoo answers when someone was asking what they could do with their old t-shirts. You can also ask/answer questions if you have a yahoo account. If you don't have an account you can make one or just read questions and answers.
http://www.polkadotcreations.com/books/showNTUT.html Jewelry tutorials. Some are a bit in depth so probably not something for someone who likes short 5 minute projects.
http://www.whatthecraft.com/ This site has some t-shirt reconstruction and some other awesome tutorials
For now thats it i think if i find something else good ( which odds are i will) I'll post it/them.

Not sure if this has a place on threadbanger, but maybe it does. DIY laundry detergent (http://www.instructables.com/id/Homemade-Laundry-Detergent/). Phosphate free, and better for all of your DIY fashions you worked so hard on. I've made this myself just this week and it works awesome. A good tip: it calls for oxy-clean but, you can use the generic. I got a nice sized tub of the generic for $1.82. The borax was about $3.00, and a 10 pack of bar soap (I just used regular cheap bar soap, works great) is like $3.00. So, for less than $8.00 I've got enough laundry soap to last me for years!!! No toxic chemicals going on my body or into the water supply. Rad. I did my whites with no bleach and they came out like brand new. That's a big accomplishment with 2 kids who walk around all over the place in their sox.

craft bits has a lot of cool projects, some of them could become accessories or whatever you want to use them as, i found some cool stuff and its all free. - http://www.craftbits.com/
halloween costume patterns, lots of different ideas for costumes, perfect for this time of the year.- http://www.knowledgehound.com/topics/costumes.htm
more costume ideas (they even have cute bunny ears awww)- http://sewing.about.com/library/weekly/aahallow04a.htm
1850's-1890's clothing patterns (could also work for halloween) - http://www.tudorlinks.com/treasury/freepatterns/index.html
free sewing patterns (it encourages you to join their mailing list but you don't have to , to view the patterns)- http://craftandfabriclinks.com/freepatterns/clothing.html
Lots of craft projects ( this link is to the halloween ones) they are pretty neat i plan on trying some myself- http://www.allcrafts.net/halloween.htm
halloween costume ideas (most look like they are kids) but the instructiosn are pretty vague so its more like to give you an idea on how to make your own version of the costume rather than the one they show ( so it gives you free reign over creativity)- http://familycrafts.about.com/od/charactercostumes/
ill try to find more later (o and thanks for the recognition ^.^)

This site was shared on another community I belong to. The site is called Cutie Work and though it's in Japanese it's full of small cute projects and craft ideas. For the most part they're self explanatory . As well as it's not hard to navigate even without knowing what the links say. It takes a few clicks and errors as there some pages of what just looks like talk about different products. But It's worth a glance.

I have a website with lots (hundreds!) of knitting and crochet patterns, sewing projects, embroidery patterns and all kinds of other projects. http://knitting-and.com
My favourite sewing projects at the moment use discarded fashion fabric samples that I buy for $5 for a huge bagful from an industrial recyclers here in Australia called Reverse Garbage. I especially like making toys (I either use no pattern, from the cool Softies books out at the moment - there are two books with the same title. Also the Japanese Una-na doll book which I adore). My favourite tutorials that I have written myself are for cushion covers (http://knitting-and.com/embroidery/cushions.htm) and scarves (http://knitting-and.com/embroidery/fibonacci-scarf.htm). I'm thinking of making a quilt out of some of the thicker wool and wool-blend samples sort of in the style of the traditional Wagga (http://discover.collectionsaustralia.net/nqr/result.php?ID=164&restype=t&PHPSESSID=8i0l6puupcg40e5c6svqpb74j1).
I also wrote lots of tutorials for using flower looms (http://knitting-and.com/small-looms/index.html) last year because I'm totally obsessed with them :)
