My field trip to Vogue Fabrics in Chicago

:) Me and my pal knittykat (from another board, she's an absolute doll, tho) did lunch today and decided to go to Vogue Fabric. And her adorable baby came along to help.

Yes, but this wasn't the big one in Evanston, so you don't have to hate me completely. This was the one on Roosevelt Road in Chicago. The staff is super-nice and put up with our silliness.

it ok i dont hate you.....i try not to hate people because hate is a very dark thing...... any store with a staff that put up with sillyness earns an A+ from me i would love to go a droll over all the stuff (but not the stuff cause thats gross) i havet even been to a joanns or hancocks in for every....not exagerating its been literaly years! i went to hobby lobby b4 X-mas and thats the last time ive been any were besides walmart!

did you buy anything? perhaps some yummy fabric?

Yes! I can't take pics of the fabric b/c it's in the other room, but I got this purple paisley fabric from the remnant room, and uh - what else? A bunch of those random unsorted gold buttons ($6.00 worth), a bag of random zippers for $7.00, some black thread, some navy thread, some mulberry color thread for the fabric...uh...oh! Two packages of black elastic, and...uh. Oh! A ruler that has a curvy end to it so you can draft curves. That itself was like $14.00 and change. Oh, and a small spool of black ribbon with these little gold paisley thingies, and a remnant of wide black ribbon with roses on it.

And I wound up spending like $50.00 total. :o

Maybe I can find a swatch of the fabric on their website, b/c it's super-cool looking to me.

ohh nice lots of treasures!!! i want your ruler! im gonnna buy one as soon as i go back to work and earn some money.
