Another Skinny Jeans Question

My mom had these jeans that were too small for her, and they were waaay too big for me.
So I made a pair of skinny jeans out of them.
They fit perfect except for now the whole top part of the pants are too big.

What can I do to fix this?

mkay and about the topic,

maybe you could rip open and pinch+pin the crotch part? usually theres some room before the zipper where you could try it. but you'd have to measure it REEEEEEALLY well. it also might end up making the pants a teeny bit longer (but it probably wouldn't be much)

atleast that would be easier than trying to fix the top in any case!! @A@
