so i've been seeing alot of stuff about ironing plastic bags to make a durable sub-fabric like plastic surface thing.. and i was wondering if it would be good to use for make SUPER long lasting stencils..

my guess is that it would be cheaper than buying transparencies.. and eco friendly?

the only opstical would be cutting through the plastic and maybe even flexibility?

Give it a whirl. The one thing I noticed when I attempted the ironing and fusing thing, is that it's really easy to get air bubbles and crinkliness in the layers. I donno if garbage bags would be the same way?

I've made some stencils out of cardboard paper, but they don't really last *as you probably know*

I think if you take cheap plastic (I'm thinking the shrinky dink paper. woot) and use an exacto knife, you can make a pretty long lasting tag. Hope this helps~!

so it was stressful.
and didn't work out to well =[
i'll try this again later when i'm more versed with both of these crafts x=

I would think the cutting of the stencil would we difficult...O_o maybe you could stick to cardboard, then iron on the plastic to it to prevent it from warping. I don't know if it would work but you can give it a try :P
