View Full Version : Vase from Tissue Paper

I saw a similar vase on etsy (which I'm now addicted to, thanks to Threadbanger) and figured I could make one myself. Just slapped some mod podge on some tissue paper and put it on a white ceramic vase. I love the textures that random pieces of tissue paper add. I think I will probably be adding some ribbon and a silk flower or something similar...haven't quite decided yet. Ideas would be much appreciated!

that's such a good idea. I think I might do that to some ceramic picture frames I have. Good job, it looks great!

That's awesome! It totally reminds me of a votive candle holder I made once, out of a clear glass jar. Same thing, only once the candle is in, the light all shines through.

That's like my favorite color of red, you did a beautiful job. :)

Oh, pretty!

I remember doing the candleholder out of a baby food jar, with bits of colored tissue paper and elmer's glue - that gave a fun "stained glass" effect.
