too bad this only works with certain fish. like the ones that don't need filters and whatnot. i have an awesome saltwater aquarium that would look so awsesome in that. but there is so much extra crap that you need with them, it would be hard. or impossible. whichever.

Oooh, for all of you wanting to make this but don't have an old monitor, go to the dump.
Usually they have a big old bin with a poster saying "TVs and Monitors" and there are a ton of (guess what!) tvs and monitors in it. Ask the person if you can take one, and they'll probably let you.

That is looking really cute! I turned an old plastic-cased (orange!) portable TV into a small tank for feeder fish a while ago, and my only complaints were that 1: the front of the tank was flat so it didn't really look like a TV and 2: water condensation inside the plastic TV case was awful!
