This is a sewing kit I made to use at reenactments, but it's also very handy for every-day sewing. (like when I want to sew in class and not bring a whole tone of stuff with me) The re-enacting name for it is a housewife.

good idea. I wouldn't use it much so I wont make one but for people who do, its very good. Maybe I'll make one for my mom. Nice colors, did you get the blue fabric from anywhere special or just a craft store?

The blue is a really lovely wool actually. It was given to me by a friend but isn't big enough to make anything much larger from so I used it for this.

I have one of these, but it's more check-book sized, and it's made in a Native American style. Very useful indeed.

Nice! Somebody else on the forums was asking for this. I cannot remeber who, though! Hope they see this! This is a great example.

I should make one of these to put into my locker...in case my, or somebody else's clothes get ripped.

Yes, some guy who helps his dad with an antiques business wanted a soldier's version. Hope he posts again, he's a neat guy.

I love the little scissors. The buttons holding them in place is such a good idea.

That is really nice and I ought to make one for myself to keep in my desk at work. Hmmm need to hit up the dollar store for cuticle sissors and needles.
