I saw TomSawyer's post about recreating a dress from a movie for her class and it inspired me to try and recreate some outfit from a movie, just for fun and practice. (here's a link to TomSawyer's post: http://forum.threadbanger.com/showthread.php?t=2373&highlight=Riddick)

So I'm just looking for ideas! I was thinking about something from Moulin Rouge but I wanted to know if anyone else knew of some movies with interesting costumes.

Thanks for any ideas!

I LOVE making costumes from films n stuff!.

Rocky Horror is always a good one. I once made a poison Ivy costume that rocked!

Lord of the rings is popular too.

There was a phase where everyone wanted the red dress that Satine wears in Moulin Rouge or one of the ones from the Titanic.

Nightmare Before Christmas is my favourite movie. I made a kick ass Sally dress when I was in my first year in college. Took a denim and patchwork fishtail skirt that had been ripped and didn't fit any more, removed the top section and bottom section and used the middle section as the skirt. I sewed the middle section to an old t-shirt and covered the whole thing with patches of all different fabrics and shapes. I've worn it a few times since, great for dancing.
