I'm hand-sewing double-fold bias tape to the hem of my skirt by hand. Er, it's taking awhile, yeah. But I think it'll be worth it.

Anyway, I decided to use my hair-clips to hold the bias tape in place while I hand-stitch it using a straight stitch. (With really teeny stitches. Yeah, it's taking awhile.)

You're currently looking at the wrong side of the fabric, with the skirt turned inside-out. The side seams are done, and the waistband is on. This is the last step.

I just put the double-fold bias tape around the "raw" edge of the bottom of my skirt, no folding up of the bottom hem at all. Clip in place, and stitch my little brains out. That's it.

I'm looking forward to this being done, but I just hadda show off my Work In Progress! Yes, the fabric and bias tape are really girly. It's shades of purple/pink/mauve, with a little bit of Creamsicle orange and pale mint green. The fabric is stuff I got from someone else's stash when she moved. I paid for the elastic, the bias tape, and the thread. More pics coming when it's completed. :)

Oh, yeah - I take crappy photos in general. Sorry 'bout that! :( I know, I really suck at that part.
