aw, it's floofyyyyyy! It's funny, hanging out with the backyard squirrels so much, I think I could "speak rat" pretty well - it's all about body language.

I am so sorry to hear about your chinchilla, Dr. Foofer. :-( Unfortunately chinchillas look so much like stuffed animals, I hear that kids often don't know how to treat 'em right.

well these arent ordinary little girls. they almost killed their dog by putting rubber bands around its neck and killed their hamster by giving it a bath. and this cracks me up: they wanna own a pet shop when they grow up.

I have a problem, well not really anymore. I went on vacation and had to leave my dog in a kennel. When I came back, he had 4 or 5 bloody scrapes down the bridge of his nose. They said it came from him rubbing his nose against the gate. They had teenagers working in there, but thats something they don't tell you when go on a tour. We paid extra money for him to be able to go outside and play with somebody. Turns out they didn't let him go outside, we could tell because when we came to get him he hadn't pee'd in a week, and he literally pee'd for 5 minutes as soon as he touched the grass. Now we know he didn't get let out, because he only pees on grass and he hadn't pee'd in a week, so that lets us know that he hasn't seen grass in a week. Plus, we they boy brought out our dog, he looked nervous and an back into the back. We went to a different place this time, and they were wonderful. When we left he ran up to the lady who took care of him and he was licking her and letting her pet him and he didn't want to leave.
Here he is in front our house and car:(I tried to resize it, I'll try again)

Houdini and Socrates... Those are good names! I've had a total of three rats (Ziggy, Penelope, and Heide) and eleven mice (the ones I kept were Scrabbles, Pi, Timberwolf, and Stripe)

I personally prefer rats. I only wanted two mice. The humane society told us that the two mice we got were both males. They were wrong. We soon had nine little baby mice.

I had a rat named Socrates, but he was Albino. Now I have two little mice named Slinky and Dinky. ;D

Oh, and whoever had the story about the 'two male mice'-- sort of the same thing happened to me. I bought a male mouse named Peaches, but he ended up being a SHE and that is how I have the ones I have now! There were seven babies total, I gave the mother and a baby to my friend, and I kept the rest, although I've only three left now. These are the boys-- the girl, my brother has in a cage in his room, and her name is Cheese. :)
