All right! It worked! It's really cute
OK- did you remember to zig-zag the fabric at the seam allowance? So it doesn't fray when you wash it? Or you can cut it with pinking shears. This turned out so nice, I'd hate to see it fray on you. :)

thank you, this is so much better than the skirt over jeans fad a while back. This actually looks good haha (no offense to skirt wearing jean wearers, I just though it always looked funny :D)

i have a skirt that is too short for my own personal taste and i'm worried about HOW to attach fabric onto it. if it want it bunched or fit perfectly aroudn the hem. i'm not good good with making ends match either and am afraid it might come out "lop sidded' if i'm making any sense.

lop sided can be cool. It's all about lines.
But basically, if it's a matter of either loop being too large, then you could thin that out easily, or add a cut or pleat at one or several points.
Matching ends isn't such a big deal - just pin and sew what seems right, and you can trim the excess afterwards.

That is a great way to get on the road to the holy grail of white skirts - i.e. one that you can't see thru in all the wrong ways ;).
