Baby T-shirt Quilt

I made this a few months ago out of little baby t-shirts that my two boys wore when they were just born. (They are three and one now.) I couldn't give away some of their outfits but I didn't want them sitting in a box in the garage either. So I made this out of nine of their shirts - five were framed in blue and four were cut up to form the background, and then I bought the dark blue and the yellow stripe to coordinate. And guess what? It's going to be in a book on t-shirt quilting! Pretty awesome. I plan on making a bigger one someday - there were several shirts I just wasn't ready to cut up yet! :p

Hope you like it - I think it's a great way to use those old baby clothes!

oh my gosh, that's a wonderful idea :P You didn't just waste the shirts either, you can still use them and keep them as a memory

Yeah, I have it on my wall in my living room and look at it all the time and it makes me remember the boys as little babies and I think of times when they were wearing those shirts. It is really one of my most favorite projects!
