Looks great! Did you use your own old t-shirts or buy them second hand?

That's really cool! How many shirts did it take?

I love it! You did a great job. How big is the quilt and how many shirts did you use?

it took
25 t shirts
i used all of my old one
and my mom gave me one or two
and i stole some from my brother ( ones he never wore)
and my dad donated a few to the cause

but even with all of that i was two shirts short
so i went out and bought two shirt
the quily is seven feet by seven feet
you use the front and back of the shirt
so you get two squares out of each shirt

I want to make one soo bad, but I have a hard time sacrificing t shirts that I love too much haha. Did you put some layers in it for warmth or is it just the t shirts?

its actually 3 layers

tshirt layer
quilt batting
king size quilt

its kinda warm

it was kinda hard to sacrifice some shirts
but if you dont wear them it puts them to a better use
then you get to sleep with them

Nicely done. How big were each of the squares to begin with? and when you say that one of the layers was a king sized quilt do you mean that there is a quilt in the middle or as the back? I always have a hard time keeping everything neat and getting things to line up on quilts but yours looks great.

the squares were
13x13
so then where you sewed them they were a square foot

no it was three layers

top layer- shirts
middle layer- batting
bottom- king sheet

it was first quitl so im excited and proud of myself

great job on the quilt! I'm saving up shirts myself, I can't wait to make one! I thought the tshirts patched together like that would make fun curtains too. but i dont have THAT many shirts!

This is an amazing quilt.
A positive is that it would be so soft!

I'll tell ya what I think!
I think I'm incredibly jealous that you got one of these done so quickly. I've worked on two forever, only one got completed and that's because I had to have it in time to be fundraising auctioned.

Yours is fantastic!
