This dress below is my latest project from pressed ties. It has been constructed from some of the tie-left overs from my previous tie-dress project. I mean to sew this together by hand and then attach to my tablecloth dress. I plan to make the top as a separate "shoulder piece" so I´m able to attach it to a number of dresses with safetypins. If you want to see more pics of the making of-steps, click HERE (http://www.flickr.com/photos/outsapop/sets/72157594202273130/).

I´ve had a creative block now for three weeks and I was really getting pissed off... I desided to do some tie-pressing just to pass time. My husband asked me to clean up the mess I had made in the living room and I took all the ties and placed them on the other shoulder of the dummy. The following night I glanced at the dummy, and they ties looked perfect on just one shoulder! That´s how I got the inspiration to make this...

But it´s not done yet... The hardest part usually is take the creation off the dummy and try to hold it together while sewing... Plus there is no way for me to try this on before it is finished... I´m just going to have to hope it looks as good on me as it does on the dummy. Wish me luck.

Wow! I like it! I like the pleats and the rosettes!

OutstaPop, Have you been able to see Project Runway Canada on YouTube?

You would like the contestant named Lucian. He'd so do something like this for a "use all ties" challenge.

I´ll have to check it out! I´m sure I´m not the only one doing these kinds of things from ties. They are such a multi-function material to work with. And the result is always unique and different from all the other tie-projects since no one is able to use exactly the same ties... Fantastic stuff.

They're really good, very creative. The sewing job must've been hard...

I'm sure that if i tried hard enough i could make something like that, but the trick is not just to make it, but to wear it and ROCK it. ^_^
