So, I made this quilt that i've been dying to show off for some time now (t'was my senior project...o.o).. So tonight I took pics to show. :D I followed a pattern so it's not just something I pulled out from behind.. Patterns called Triple Irish Chain, I believe? It's black with some funky neon colors, Purple, Orange and Green. The back is just a sheet of fabric I sewn together, I thought it went pretty well with the front.. :D Instead of sending it off, or sewing the front to the back to lock the batting in place I used ties as you can see in the pic. Took me about 100 hours, but it went by so much more fast than that. It was my first sewing project really... turned out alright, Some of the squares are off, but shhh :D

Anywho! On with the pics! :D Oh BTW, don't pay attention to the retard modeling it, I just got my hair cut today... all emo type.. IDK... Lol

Okay, and after this quilt, I had so much fabric left over I made a pin-cushion... :D Turned out okay...

Front:

I sewed an orange button in the middle to chill out with the pins :)
Back:

And I know the pin isn't safe, it's just REALLY loose, and I hadn't gotten the time to fix the strap yet.. :( But to hold the strap on, I sewn two other buttons (Green and Purple, the other two colors of the quilt).

...Anywho, that's my project.. it's done, nice and comfy :D I love it.. Hope you guys do too! ...and sorry if this isn't perfect, first time making my own thread... x.x :o

I love the quilt! And I really really love the swirly fabric you did as a backing. And you get bonus points for the "count dracula" pose. *g*

This is beautiful!

I've always wanted to make a quilt, but I just haven't had the time to devote to it with all my other projects going on right now. Of course I couldn't do it like my Mommaw used to...all her quilts were hand sewn.

Really nice. What did you sew it with, hand or machine.

Really off topic, but what size is your guage.

well, i did most of the quilt with a machine, but (of course) i did the ties with a claw hook needle and some embroidery floss... it seems as though some of the ties are coming undone.. easily fixed.

ears are gauged to... 00.. i think...
I love this quilt, and i don't think i could give it up for anything.... just because mainly... it takes a lot to keep me interested.. i spent 100 hours on this thing... that's really any accomplishment for a 17 year old! it's so warm and cuddly.... -rubs the awesomeness of the quilt- :D
