DIY hackysack?

I live by the beach and one of my band patches fell off in the sand and I got the idea, I think I have the basic idea but any one have any tips?

my friend tried making one out of something
i dont remember what it was
but they stuffed it way too much
make sure you dont stuff it too much
if you think there isnt enough stuffing leave it like that
it would be better

Exactly how big is the patch you want to use? If it's only big enough for one side of the hack, you could always just use an old one that's lost alot of it's filling or something, or if you don't have an old one, just get some spare fabric and sew it into a sort of ball shape leaving the one side open for the filling to go in, and for the patch to cover as like a "lid".

If on the other hand it's big enough to be the whole thing, you could probably just cut it in a few places so that the sides can overlap to make a better ball shape, sew up the sides, fill it, and close it up. The only reason I'd suggest the cutting is because if you just kinda ball it up and sew it, you might end up with holes and have your filling leaking everywhere :(

yea my plan was to do some basket ball cuts on a small patch I have, and if it does I will :)
