I made some pillows today ^_^
1st:

The flower pattern I got from a nurse's scrub that I picked up at Goodwill, the purple is from a bed sheet from another thrift store.
It's about... 13" by 13".

There's nothing really special about this one. But I made it out of a pair of shorts my Grandmother (in law) wore a lot in her final years, so it holds a special place in our hearts (:

Oh they are. I forgot to mention that I am making pillows for my friends this Christmas (: You can never have too many pillows!!!

Well, my original plan was to buy old stuffed animals that nobody wanted from thrift stores and use the stuffing out of those, but I never found any that had enough at a cheap price. Then I tried plastic bags, didn't work.
I eventually broke down and bought some Fiber-Fill from JoAnn's. I got a 3lb bag for $3.99. That's a pretty good buy, you can get the stuff at Walmart too.

Very cool! I love the fabric you used on the first one. I sewed about 30 pillows for Christmas presents last year... I don't think I'll sew another pillow ever again.
