This is my Where's Wally beanie. The first article of clothing I ever made (if you can call a beanie an article of clothing). I forgot i had it untili found it under a pile of junk in my wardrobe the other day so I thought I may as well post it. Not pure DIY genius but jeez I love it.

Can you maybe by chance make a tutorial type of thing on how you made the beanie? ^^;

It looks awesome though!

That is TOO adorable! I love WW! We had a guy here at my campus who would dress up as Wally and walk around campus like that.... but we're also known for having a guy run around in a green and yellow (1970's-esque) b-ball uniform w/ a boombox playing eye of the tiger, AND for having our own superhero- Happy Friday Guy, who rides his scooter around campus every friday yelling "happy friday" and throwing candy....

Man, i love my college!

on another note, what fabric did you use?

Isn't it Waldo? Maybe I'm not remembering right. All the same, though, pretty cool beanie. I need to figure those out. Most of the beanies I buy end up too big and goofy or too small.

I'm guessing a red and white striped fleece.

All you'd need to do is cut it into a crown shape - with 4 points, then sew the ends together, and the sides of each point to the one next to it.

did you make that?
Haha, yup Ryanmoore I did indeed make that.

Arrowe: I could try but I don't have the pattern, I'll see what I can do a bit later after school's calmed down a bit (and keeping in mind I'm not a big sewer so it's more than likely going to be a very badly tutorial)

Lafemmedramatique: Well firstly I wanna go to your college, I cannot stress how much I would love a Happy Friday Guy. I'm not sure on the fabric as it was something mum had lying around, its fleecy on the inside and its got the red stripes printed on the smooth side. Sorry I have no clue with fabric types.

DangerpinsX: Half right, waldo was the evil Where's Wally who had red and black stripes.

And Yup, Coffee's pretty damn right.

Wiki explains the mix up: Where's Wally? (titled Where's Waldo? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where%27s_Waldo%3F) in North America) is a series of children's books (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book) created by the British (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom) illustrator Martin Handford (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Handford).

I'm from the states.

Ya, he is pretty awesome... I doubt you would be able to go to my college, though, since you're in Australia... although I do know that my college has an australia center for kids who go abroad, so who knows? Here's a video about Happy Friday Guy.... nobody knows his real name, but he calls himself Scooter Bob... Yay, Ball State!!

Haha, kudos, you're the first person to notice.

And K.F.T.H. I got the pattern from an old folder at the back of a textiles classroom, which I guess really isn't helpful at all.

Oh yes Pinoy, diggin' the collars. Actually i need to post a thread about collars soon... hrmm.
