I made this hoodie out of a HUGE Motorhead Tee i got at Goodwill, and an old pair of pajama pants (the plaid fabric)
This also my first zipper project! Came out a little bit lumpy, anyone have any tips on sewing in a zipper- and not making it lumpy?

Inside of the back, I made kind of a quilted lining, to use up scraps

Oh wow that came out so great! Ok it came out FREAKING SICK!!
:) I love how you lined the inside using scraps and giving it that quilted rocking look!

Oh and the reason why the zipper curls up like that...
...it might be that it's too light weight for the double layers of fabric
Or it can be also that when sewing on the zipper, your probably stretching
the fabric a bit, making it curl.
Hope that helps a little hun;)

Thank you so much gothictany!!!
Next time I'll definitely be careful about stretching it, and maybe experiment with different zippers..
That did help :D

Nice hoodie and great work on your first try with a zipper. My experience with zippers has been the same when I use the zipper foot. Now when I do the zipper thang, I make sure that I buy a zipper with an extra wide fabric bed( not sure what that part of the zipper is called LOL) and just use my regular foot. Works out great that way for me. Hope that helps as well.
