Corset top was made from a shirt dress. The skirt was previously a pair of really big pants.
The shirt dress was from a Value Village trip, seen on my blog (http://harajukuhearts.livejournal.com/tag/firsties).

Beautiful craftsmanship Suzushiina! I really like your choice of fabric for the messenger bag too.

Oooh! I love the corset top (I'm still having trouble seeing how you did it!), and the reversible messenger bag turned out great! I love fabric #1 for the bag.

zombied: I took two skirts that had a fair amount of material. I have more but they're smaller.
ladyjanewriter: Picture a shirt dress with (ugly!) sleeves. Cropped it, then chopped off sleeves. Hemmed both (very crudely >x<") and then sorta pinned my back to make darts. The larger part of the darts helped make the part where the laces criss-cross and such. And yes, I like #1 too: reminds me of an optical illusion!
ryanmoore: I agree as well! :D
Thanks y'all :D

The corset top is amazing. It looks so perfect.
I love the whole indie/goth/hippie/girly crossover stuff.
You pulled it off perfectly.
