So am I the only person with a dollhouse? I found my half-made kit from when I was 14 and I finished it and will be going shopping at a minatures expo the 23 of Sept here so I can get some good furniture.

Dollhouses are great for DIYers, because you can make anything to go in there from scrap cloth and stuff. I plan to go get a blank porcelain (good quality) doll body and sew her some clothes. (I'm doing the dollhouse modern day because its a vermont farmhouse that I've painted green and yellow :d)

I'm also going to use old tees to make small slipcovers for a somewhat ugly couch set I have (Came in a set of vintage stuff I bought on Ebay that I only bought for the little red brocade wingback chair with the brass legs. It alone is worth what I paid for the whole package!)

I think while I plan that I shall sit and make some little curtains. I have some old paisley shirt in a box somewhere I plan to dice. It's kinda trippy looking.

(I so have a complete tiny 78-card tarot deck for the place...)

iiiiii like it. my friends and i used to make and decorate dollhouses last year but then we kinda stopped because the girl that started it all turned out to be a freak and then she moved and we didn't want to go back to... those times.... yea we're all paranoid about it now.

but i still sew the occasional mini pillow or curtain every once in a while XD

HAY you read tarot cards too? buh you're the third person in two days that i've met that can read them besides meeee lol...

I read tarot, as well! <3

I don't have a doll house, but I've been having these sudden guilty realisations as I craft at home: I like making things in miniature. In fact, I started slowly recreating miniture items as if for a doll house, but I have no house to stick the items in. I was starting to think I was a little bit of a dork or something. Going "Why would I need a dollhouse?" My natural response was "Duh! To be COOL!"

Glad I'm not the only one... >.>;
