First off your mom is always the last to think your gay (scientific fact) and to answer that question its because they're afraid to try anything else other than what they see most of their sex do.

People don't realize that the most masculan things are feminine and vice versa.

When a hamster runs in it's wheel...does it think it's actually getting somewhere? If so, that's kinda sad. I mean, I feel bad for the poor lil guy.

Hamsters are cute. So are squirrels. I donno why people are afraid of rodents? I seriously think they're cute.

OK, the mouse that climbed out of the toaster the one time was not cute. That was just nasty (and, yes, I threw out the toaster).


I want to wear the skirt I made tomorrow, but I tacked the ribbon in place with washable fabric glue-stick (it's really cool stuff, you should get some if you can). Then I sewed it. It's nice, b/c then it washes out...but I didn't wash the skirt yet. If I sweat, would the backs of my legs get all sticky and weird? What if it rains?

I wonder what skirt I'm gonna make next?

Don't just take it! Give her good reasons to help you buy a sewing machine!

Tell her it'll save you money in the long run by being able to alter poorly fitting clothes and construct new ones out of old or thrift clothing and fabric.

Tell her that sewing and tailoring is a hard learned and profitable skill that (like most jobs) were once done mostly by men.

Tell her it's not merely a $#@$# toy for making ballerina tutus, it's a tool and precision-crafted machine used to make things that are just as practical and necessary as wood working and car repairing. You can't live without clothing.

But ultimately, it's up to you to convince her that it's worth her spending her money (don't make the mistake of assuming entitlement), regardless of what she thinks about masculinity and femininity.

Honestly, if you think you're being disrespected, regardless of your sexual orientation, you've got to stand up for yourself and show that you're intelligent and capable and reasonable, no matter who or what you are. If you just back down and sulk, you'll never get what you want.

Oh I just got into graphic novels. I finished "Watchmen" a few days ago. It was amazing. The comic book store owner says I've read the cream of the crop, so I guess it's all downhill now :p

I don't tell my parents when I buy things anymore. And if they ask, I tell them why I bought it. Of course, something as big as a car I don't think I'd be able to get away with ;)

Actually "Watchmen" is by Alan Moore, who is British (your call as to whether that's "European" :p). It's very highly regarded as far as English language graphic novels. A movie is currently in the works (though I'm skeptical of course). I highly recommend it. It was only 12 issues and comes in a one-book collection for about 20 USD.

Yeah, it will :D no doubt about that at all. And your teeth should start feeling better in 5 minutes if not the second you started to drink it.

Um...I'm going to say no. But I think the worst that'll happen is depending on how much you drink (I'm guessing it's an average cups worth) nothing really hard core should happen, just if any of the side effects affect you it'll just come a whole lot sooner than usual.

Or you could be like me and drink 2 Jack-n'-Cokes (3/1) and take some asprin and find yourself naked on the front lawn finding your pants in the mail box...that was one hell of a party...

I know that Ibuprofen is what's recommended for a hangover b/c Acetaminophen with alcohol might make your stomach bleed. I don't know for aspirin thought ;) And if you want it to act fast, have them with coke or coffee : cafeine makes the assimilation faster (tip from my physician friend for my migraines!!!)
