I underestimated the amount of shipping to Mexico
It ended up being $19, when I thought it would be maybe $10-$15

When I got there, there was NO ONE in line, and 3 people working at the registers

I'm learning how to knit on two circular needles. I was doing good until the pattern requires a color change and I can't figure out how a normal color change is gonna work with two circular needles. I should have just kept knitting small washcloth squares.

I don't have a problem being friends with an atheist, but i was always taught that you shouldn't be associated with people who bring you down and for the most part all of my friends are at least not the huge partying fanatics or anything, but they do start talking about religion and bashing my faith once in a while so i kinda have a tenancy to give them a piece of my mind.
But it is possible to influence people into a certain faith if you can refute their beliefs to make them void and they realize what they believe is wrong. tht doesnt mean tht they're gonna believe what you do automatically tho.

First of all. I'm Christian AND I don't agree with you hun.
I don't force my believes on NO ONE. And the tb'ers here know this.

I'm so excited! I found out that my history teacher loves sewing. We started asking around and a bunch of people said they'd be interested in a sewing club. We're going to start one soon that will also be open to other crafters (doing crochet, knitting, needlepoint, etc.) as well. I'm really excited for the extra sewing time I'll have and having other people around for extra opinions.

If you don't like what is being showed... *gasp* don't watch it.

And if you don't want your kid watching it in school, the teacher will find an alternative assignment for them.

This especially pisses me off in Bio. when we learn about evolution. The teacher had to try to be so PC all the time, because if not they'd get a bunch of parents up their ass. This is high school people. I could see if they were trying to teach sex ed to your kindergarten kid...

Well...honestly, people can take everything you said and apply it in a spiritual manner, too. It just depends on what the individual believes. To me, this rant has the same effect that a super-religious nut on a rampage would have on me. What ever happened to people believing in whatever they want and NOT being pissed at and/or caring about what others think?

It's called "Reader's Digest: Crafts and Hobbies; A step by step guide to creative skills" and it has a shit tonne of things from basket weaving (various kinds) and woodwork, gardening, metal working, enameling... Much much more. I am soooo psyched about getting some free time to learn how to do a cloisonné pendant! And then she has this book called "Threadplay" and it's for Mastering machine embroidery techniques. Sounds cool... but I might need a better machine? Or an embroidery machine at that! Yep that's right where I am. I'm always in pain too cuz I have fybromyalgia and the lack of sleep just sets it off.
Right now it's not so bad cuz Liam is in school while I'm sleeping but on days like yesterday I got out of work 2 hours late and my arm was numb so I had to take a hot shower and calm down before I could fall asleep and then my hubby called be 5 mins before Liam had to be picked up and told me he had to work late. Not much sleep at all! It must still be had with Seven working nights still, I know I get 2-4 hours of time with my family on days that I work.
But today is my day off so ohh happy day!

Orchestra Seating audition was Tuesday. My friend said that me and 3 of my friends STOLE first chair away from this girl who's always first chair.
Of course, my orch teacher will make her first chair anyway. Just cause "she has experience"

This year's orchestra is gonna suck.

I'm 35 and my mom still does that to me and I'm 2 hours away from her!
She got mad cuz she always volunteers to make crafts/decorations for church events, and gets stuck in the middle of her project.
When I lived there with her I always helped her. But she got mad cuz I wasn't there to help her! WTF?!
She said it came out bad and it was my fault for living so far when she needed me! I love my mom but she doesn't know how much she hurts me.

Seven says that she's just mad cuz her "maid" isn't there anymore!:(

it's like 4:37am right now & i just destroyed my dryer with acrilic paint. like an idiot i thought putting my painted stripe tights in the dryer to dry, it ended up making the dryer look like the well in the ring.:eek: terrible. oh & I'm watching twilight! Edward & jasper are so ho++!:D

I just moved everything from my old room to my new room.

question for all the girls out there: do you take over the counter drugs for your cramps? if so, do you find yourself "immune" to the drug after a certain amount of time? i started using midol when my cramps became unbearable, then they stopped working so i've moved on to motrin. and now i don't think it's working for me anymore. ugh.

Well, I'm not a girl, but I know you can build an somewhat of an "immunity" where the medicine becomes less effective if you take it a lot.
I know some people who take like 4-5 Advils, because 2 just doesn't cut it for them anymore.

But Pamprin helped me. But usually I drank teas and a placed hot towel in
my belly. It did the trick back in the day.

I saw a tumble weed on my way home from my last work trip.
