I know it sounds like a really mean thing to say, but I hate talking to my grandmother.
I generally hate talking to extended family generally.
They are always trying to shove some biblical bullcrap down someone's throat.
It takes everything in me not to point out every single time they contradict themselves.
Everything has to do with God and the bible with them.
I'm talking about school, and she starts shouting off about some biblical story and I could tell I hurt her feelings when I just ignored her and added in "Hmms" every now and then. Oh well.
Then, oh! Don't let them get started about sports! "Oh, why don't you play any sports. Normal boys your age play sports and yada yada yada."
STFU.
Urgh!
I'm just waiting until I won't have to talk to them ever again.
Which is when I go to college. I plan on moving far away and not keeping in touch.
Its for the best. For their sake...
*hug* I hate my family too, i laughed at my grandpa's funeral when my grandma cried... i'm convinced she won't die -.-'
and the flowering tea are these little pods, (i wish i had a picture), then you put them in boiling water ( i have a special cup kit) and they open into beeeaauuutiful flowers full of antioxidants, then you take them out and they look weird little alien fungus

I don't want them to die. Just to live happily far away from me, without sucking the joy outta my life. Far far away from me.
OMG! Where can I get one of these?

we started at 8. some people say it's 8:30-9:30 but we did it from 8-9.

I like the candles too, my mom is watching tv, which prompted me to use the computer... the funny thing is we sat down and played a good ol' card game for an hour before, and THEN we realized it was earth hour, and i can't read a book by candlelight if the tv is on :S ruins the ambience

Patti Lapone kicked ass as Moll in The Cradle Will Rock.
I love her version of Nickel Under Your Foot.
Maybe you wonder what it is
Makes people good or bad
Why some guy an ace without a doubt
Turns out to be a bastard
And the other way about.
I'l tell you what I feel,
It's just the nickel under the heel.
Though you can live like hearts and flowers
And everyday is a wonderland tour
And you can dream, and scheme, and
Happily put and take, take, and put
But first be sure
The nickel's under your foot
Go stand on someone's neck while your taking
Cut into somebody's throat as you put
For every dream and scheme's depending on whether all through the storm
You've kept it warm
The nickel under your foot
And if you're sweet, then you'll grow rotten
Your pretty heart covered over with soot
And if at once you're gay, and devil-may-careless
And oh so hot
I know you've got
The nickel under your foot.

"Current thoughts" had a simliar point of "Random Thoughts"... cept current thoughts was about what was on your mind CURRENTLY... not the random thoughts that are in your mind...
Then some threadheads decide to be mean and say this is a "cheep" (aka *cheap) rip off of "Random Thoughts"
It's just a post... its not a big deal there people... threadbangers is not supposed to be treated like highschool.

So, one day last semester, I think it was september, our landlord calls to make sure we've been locking the doors, etc. because there's been a few break ins around the neighbourhood. This same night I was home alone and I kind of got paranoid (I am easily paranoid sometimes) so I printed a sign saying "Beware of Big Dog" hoping it would make some robbers think twice about breaking in (they could have been dumb). Also I kind of thought it would be funny if my roommates came home, saw the sign and were like wtf?
So today I get a knock on the door, this man is selling his poems on some bookmarks trying to start a little business. I was enthusiastic about it and got a buck fifty to buy one. He tries to give me a dog poem and says, "you have a dog don't you?" And for some reason I had this impulse to not tell the story so I just say, "Oh... not anymore." I lied! So I told him I had a cat and took the cat poem. I have no idea why I just didn't tell him it was all a big joke. So this man thinks my non existant dog is dead or something -.-

Super bummed: My carrot cake did not turn out well, I forgot to sift the flour so I added too much or all the "help" I had from my 7 year old distracted me and I lost count. Either way my cake was too dry. It tastes good but it is dry and crumbly.
I have no idea what I'm going to wear to school/work today.

A couple times. The secret is definitely in padding EVERYTHING.
Adding 50 words is easy - you just go back and find words that you can add extra words to, to extend any statement.

I really dislike general Americans.
And I'm generally not proud to be an American. Love the country and the freedoms that are given to us and supposedly portected for us, but hate the government, the people who represent us, and generally the citizens.
I was just reading some comments on some random site about illegals. Of course, all the people jumped on the bandwagon, screaming incoherently about how all illegals should be sent back to wherever they came from. *sigh* America is supposed to be a free place, where all are welcome.
I gotta get outta this place ASAP.

I am sewing my friend's prom dress
At first, we had to go all out to change the design
Because she HAD to get this one fabric
NOW, she wants to change her mind
And HER design is sooo ugly D:
The original, we changed.
But the one we all agreed on... was classy
It was gonna have a deep V in the back, but not too low (theme's hollywood)
The front was gonna have draping from the sheer organza...
Now, she wants some bubble skirt
With a fake corset back
A HUGE bow in the back
Costume-like (I usppose since she's a dancer, she's used to it, but really?)
And she wants to use the same pink silk and sheer organza ??

She already paid $30 for all the fabric, thread, and zippers

If she wants me to NOT use all the fabric (changing the design, to only using the silk), hey, more fabric for me !

I probably shouldn't mess with her so much... my bed is only like 3 feet away from hers.

You should get The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray - it looks amazing. Great quality! Also, we bought Resident Evil Degeneration for Blu Ray a couple months ago - you totally need to check it out if you haven't yet. Movies that originate in digital always look freaking sweet in HD. :D
Anywho...I'm just waiting for my backup hard drive to get here. It's been over a year since my old backup drive was - lost - so, it's going to be nice to be able to back up all my data again.
Oh yeah totally getting Dark Knight fir sure!! We bought a couple of bluerays before hand but the blueray we wanted was sold out. There not making them cuz the economy went down. We finally got it at Fry's!
And as for Resident Evil...dude my son thinks he's Leon Kenedy!
He also says his girlfriend is Alice (Mila Jivovich) LOL
Homie has a 3 1/2 foot poster of Extinction above his bed!!
So those movies are a must on blueray...
Are you talking about an external hard drive for backing up?
I think Seven got one too. Those are a life saver!

Even though my hausmate was a jerk to me this morning through notes he left on my door and dishes he left outside of my room (I left a bowl outside of his room that he hadn't washed for two days), I'm in a good mood today!
Listening to OK Go, got cleared to graduate next year, BEAUTIFUL weather. :D

Did my OR/surgery rotation today. I LOVED it. I saw a c-section, a breast biopsy, a Leep procedure, a laproscopy removal of an ovarian cyst and a corneal transplant.
Depending on how I like OB/peds and psych, will kind of determine what I want to do. Oncology was boring but the drugs were interesting, hospice was heartbreaking, free clinic was pretty cool as well but so far I enjoyed the OR the best. When I started nursing school, I wanted to do Obstetrics or OR and I'm still thinking that is what I want to do.

I just had the most embarrassing moment on the phone.
The caller i.d. said my mom's work was calling and I was really excited to talk to her. So when I picked up the phone I screamed into it, "HELLO!!" Turns out one of her co-workers was calling to talk to my dad...
I am so cool.

I can read Greek, I just don't know what I'm saying.
I'm not talking Greek written in english letters. I could go to Greece and read the signs out loud and I have no idea what they mean. Unless it's blatantly obvious.
A friend and I memorized the Greek alphabet in highschool so we could pass notes in class they noone could read them.
When a friend in college was learning Greek I could read their flash cards lol. That's when I found out.

i read my city's utilities bulletin today. it's kind of like reading junk mail, but apparently they have a t-shirt giveaway if you email the answer to a utilities trivia question. what are you required to do by law before you dig? i'm worried that my out of state phone number will somehow disqualify me, even though i pay for my utilities. i really want a free shirt! washington is awesome about free shirts. i got one for pledging not to smoke when i turn 18.

Soooo, I'm getting all prepared in case anything ever happens to my data...I downloaded Microsoft's Synctoy and I'm using it to synchronize user folders to an external hard drive. It's extremely useful because if just one tiny thing changes in my files, that change is reflected onto another drive. I'm also downloading all the installers for all the programs I use and I'm putting them on my USB thumb drive. I r t3h prepared. Joooooy!

Woot! Synctoy works great! Just a quick visit to the task scheduler and now the backup drive is tested against the main drive for any changes every day. If anything changes, the changes are reflected right onto the backup drive. :)
