I made a "charm quilt" today..out of fall fabrics and colors..it's a square quilt and I really wanna use it on my table for a table cloth but i'd have to add a border(s) on just 2 of the ends to make it fit my table...would it look lopsided do you think?? it's the 2 top pics titled "fall charms"
oh I didn't htink this needed a whole new thread so I'm just gonna post it here..and since it's not "finished" I don't wanna put it in projects...

oh ok well maybe I can clarify...
my table measures 40x61
and the quilt measures 50x50
I want to use it for a table cloth
as is I've got a 5 inch over hang width wise
but it's too short length wise by 11 (so 5.5 on each end) with no overhang
so do I
A) add just a 11.5 border on the 2 ends so that I've got a 5 inch over hang all the way around?
B) add a 15 inch border to the too short ends and just a 3.5 inch border to the 2 sides that have over hang already.
A) will result in a rectangular quilt that has 2 borders on 2 sides and 3 borders on the other 2 sides (opposing sides) but with the same amount of over hang all the way around
B) will result in a rectangular quilt that has 3 borders on all 4 sides but of different widths to accommodate the size of my table with the same amount of overhang all the way around

you can probrally snag a used stand for really cheap...though when the tambourine note hit ya, you'll have to take it out all the time!

happy tuesday everyone. i have vertigo :( i will be so unbelievably unhappy if it sticks around. and now my doctor thinks i'm anemic. i think that means low blood cell count or low levels of hemoglobin in the blood cells, but i don't remember. i'd look it up but i should get off the computer...

it is low iron in your blood...and usually the prescribe iron supplements which will constipate you..
so I suggest just eating more iron rich foods...dark greens, grits surprisingly, and soy beans are good sources..
when my 6yr old was about 3/4 the dr said he was anemic and gave me some liquid supplements (and since we're military and they're rather bossy with how they want to treat you) I picked them up from the pharmacey but never gave them to him...I instead just slightly modified his diet and when we went back for a follow up they were all like...see he's fine now, those suppliments are doing great....I just laughed and left

at first i was like OMGWTFBBQ!!!

cause my hand lost all feeling and my fingers were locked straight... so of course i couldnt bend them... and it was like this sharp pain shooting up my arm from my fingertips to my elbow. and EVERYTHING they touched felt probably something like being shot in the hand with a nail gun.

my friend drove me to a walgreens... but then they wanted to charge us for ice. i was like well... screw that its not like my hand is purple or anything.


by the end of the night my hand was fine... besides the whole nerve damage on your finger tip thing... but my fingertips have always been like that so it was no biggie. :D



but uhhh YEAH dont play with fireworks... i was lucky.

then we had dinner at Cracker Barrel...mmmm yummy food I didn't have to cook myself...
then we went to a "toy" store and got a new "movie"
then we got milkshakes from Sonic for the drive home

and this will prolly be the last date for us for like 6 months...cause I"m getting dreadfully large...and it's uncomfortable to get in and out of the car...and soon I'll have a new baby...so it was nice to start the new year off in a relaxing way....

tomorrow...back to real life

on a side note...I hope you feel better KLC I hate being sick especially if it's a tummy thing...ick!

i'm not sure when i'm going home. that's why this is so hard...i guess that would have helped to mention. i have a dr's appointment as late as thursday, though he's trying to fit me in sooner. after i see the doctor and he helps me get a referral to someone in washington, i can start trying to go home.

i say "trying" because i never know if i'll be able to get on a flight. my mom is a flight attendant, so i've traveled standby my whole life. you pretty much go to the airport and wait until they have an open seat on a plane going your direction. it used to be much easier, when there were more flights all around. it's still possible, but it's a very stressful way of traveling. whether or not you get on depends on people cancelling or missing their flights, and whether any unbooked seats get taken by standby passengers with higher priority. i'd like to say this is the last time i have to do this, but only my dad agrees to pay for a plane ticket and he's moving out of hawaii. so if i want to visit my mom or hawaii...i think i just keep doing this...

it was such a BEAUTIFUL weekend...it got up to like 40!! the snow melted and you could see GRASS!!...but it's snowing so hard now that I can barely see across the street! I SMURFING hate snow!!

my 2yr old disappeared yesterday afternoon around 5pm...
we found him in bed under his blanket....LOL
he woke up this morning at 4am!! I hope he gets sleepy and takes a nap early this morning..or our routine is HOSED!!
we're watching Pinochio and drinking chocolate milk...MMMMMM

You have three options, try to put him down early, keep him up then put him down at his normal nap time, that is if he still naps (my kids didn't at 2 they take after their momma) or keep him up all day. The last two tend to mean a tired whiny 2 year old but if you don't get it fixed today you are right, the daily routine is hosed.

Time to jinx myself, today the kids start back to school and they got up without too much fight. The oldest one has been getting herself up for the last several months (yay!) the little one however is a complete pain to get ready for school but she is currently ready and we are killing time till we have to leave in 10-15 minutes. My school starts back on Monday and I still don't know the times of my clinicals.

yeah he pretty much doesn't take naps any more...about twice a week he'll get a book and lay down after lunch...sometimes he'll fall asleep but most of the time he just need about 30 min of quiet time...
he looks like he might be thinking aobut going back to sleep..so if he does then we can take a small nap before the other kids get up! yay

Beware: Venting Session.

I HATE my apartment complex. They are SOOOO Shady! I've moved in about six months ago and I'm a bit OCD about paperwork and stuff like that. I used to work in the audit department for a bank so paper trails are important.

When I moved in they gave me a 48 hr checklist. This is the list where you put in all that's wrong with the apartment when you got it so that it's on record that it wasn't you that caused it when you moved out and you're not charged for it.

Before they gave me the "official" form they made me sign a "backup" blank one. I got the form and went to work. Two hours later I turned it in so that I could get my mail key.

Well I've been having problems with maintenance lately. A lot of the stuff that I've requested has not been done and it's been SIX MONTHS! and a Lot of that stuff has been from the check in list. So on the 3rd of the month I came in and requested a copy of the checklist.

It was "missing". So now the blank list that I signed has become the "official" list which means that since it is blank I didn't think anything was wrong with it. BULLFU@34@#$IT! In essence they have stolen my deposit.

I don't know who to turn to on this one... :( I'm so infuriated I want to cry. I feel so powerless. My therapist is gonna have fun with me tomorrow.

I'm even more ticked off with myself becuase I didn't follow up on the copy I of the one that I had turned in. I requested a copy when I turned it in but the 'girl' there said the copier machine was broken, to come back later, and then she wouldn't give me the one I had turned in back for some stupid liability reason. BASTARDS!
