Oh those crazy twinks...
I find it odd that the current stereotypically gay man shown now is young, pretty, lean, hairless, and white... Bears get no love.

can someone please explain to me why people feel the need to have all cell phone convos on speaker phone and then hold the phone 2 feet away from their head and talk super loud while waving the phone around never stoping to actually speak into the phone or at the phone all the while having shitty music playing in the back ground?? and they wonder why the person on the other end keeps saying WHAT did u say?

Is making bread cheaper than buying it?
Or does it just taste better.
it's a lot cheaper...I figured it up when I first started doing it ...it saves me about $75 a year to make my own bread.....not a lot per loaf but it adds up over the entire year....also I started buying my eggs from this fam I know with a "mini" farm they are selling their eggs for $1 a doz...it's going to end up saving me close to $80 a year...again not a lot per month but it adds up....so now I have an extra like $150 that I didn't spend....I also just made my first batch of AngryHippie Laundry Soap...and it's MARVELOUS and it's WAY cheaper...so ummm..yeah it is saving me $$...now I"m looking around for a shampoo free alternative that will save me some $....

LOLOL
the ONLY time I'm ever guilty of this is when I'm driving on base...you're not allowed to use a cell phone on base...I'm not even sure "hands free" is allowed....so if I need to I use the speaker...and hold it in my hand like around the gear shift..turn off the radio..and speak a BIT louder than normal.
I really hate the ear pieces...and long hair...it makes you look CRAZY to walk around talking on them.....so I don't...actually I don't usually use my cell phone much...I think we have a shared plan between our 2 cell phones...and like 300 or 500 min a month...and we've NEVER gone over in the 2 years we've had them....although it helps that it doesn't use our min to call between the cell/home phones....

we call that "egg in a nest" my kids love them....I don't actually cut a hole in the bread tho...I just make a little rip...then push the top and bottom edges to make the whole big enough..and slip in the egg....we spread home made jam on them and they gobble them up...
never thought of adding bacon.....humm....how do you get the bacon in there with the egg??
cook the bacon, lay the bread on top of the bacon, crack your egg, cook for a couple of minutes then flip it. The egg will make the bacon stick to the bread. MMMMM. I haven't made those in years.

I just did the dumbest thing ever, I was going to resume knitting, and I had laid my project on the ball of yarn and stuck the needles through the ball.
Well, when I picked up my project, I just pulled the needles out of the yarn, without thinking that is wa going to come out of my project as well.
Luckily, the didn't move alot and I just slipped the needle back in.

I just figure if someone like me (who does not like people overall) can smile and give good customer service then others can fake it. It's sad when I go into stores in my street clothes and people ask me for help or when you go into Target and a customer is asking a question that the sales person can't answer so I end up explaining it. And Target didn't want to hire me, stupid people.

What can I say, I'm a woman of many talents. Actually, I just get on the elliptical for about an hour and take a text book, crank my Ipod, and read. It makes me stay in one place long enough to read a chapter or two. Working out serves three purposes, works off stress (I have lots), makes me focus in one spot for an hour without interuptions(I'm easily distracted), and maybe lose some of the 8 pounds I've gained since the beginning of the semester.
In all honesty I've only gone about 3 or 4 times since school started.

Well they can't all be normal. My youngest dd got mad the last time I took her older sister to the doctor. She thought the appointment should have been for her and not her sister. I'm contemplating making fliers on "How to speak proper English" and handing them out at my school.
I mean, just the way they talk is nonsense. I started analyzing it today, and most of the things they say are just a shortcut.
For example,
A lot of people say "I'm a ..." in place of a proper verb.
"I'm a call da police"
The proper way to say that would be "I'm going to call the police."
Then they say "da" instead of the. I don't understand, they are the same amount of syllables and everything, why use this term, that IMO makes you sound unintelligent.
I mean, I found a lot of other things wrong with their speech, but that was the most prominent error.

Yes you are. Seriously, just buy a little of both and return what you won't use. Heck when my oldest was a newborn, she lived in sleepers and they are pretty much gender neutral. They good thing about Walmart is that you can return almost anything. Just save receipts and don't wash the stuff until Junior gets here.
Sadly you are outnumbered in the fact that you don't want to know the gender of your baby. With my youngest I was using the county health dept. for my OB care, they did the ultrasound too early to find out what she was. My second and last ultrasound was a week or two before she was due by that point she was too big so I has no idea the entire time. I was hoping for a boy but I ended up with another girl who is so much like me it isn't funny.
I wanted to know because I was very limited on money and space so I wanted to know in order to plan clothes, where the baby would sleep once he/she got a bit older etc. All in all, it worked out pretty well. And I know in reality it isn't that big of a deal if a brother and sister share a room, I just have 7 years between my kids, and that makes it interesting.

I actually only have the baby clothes from my youngest left...with us being military I didn't keep all the stuff from when my first two were little...(we werent sure when we'd get around to having more so I didn't want to drag all those boxes from place to place...they weigh our stuff when we move...and we only allowed a certian weight and if we go over they charge us for shipping it)
all of the sleepers and jammies that I have for the first few months are gender neutral....I just like to buy the baby a special new "take me home" outfit
since my others were summer babies they just got like a boxed set of like a onsie and a hat and booties/socks...nothing fancy..I'm not overly scenitmental and it's practically the only baby clothes I keep in a box...I'm having a hard time finding a warmer version of that (due mid/end Feb) it'll prolly still be snowing here in Idaho.....also I since my babies are usually large Ihave to get the 3-6 month size (they're usually between 9&10lbs at birth) so it's always been a bit challenging to find something neutral for the take home..and dh is opposed to buying one oveach..he's all "just find something like you did for the others...they all looked cute"
I think i"m going into the city today so I might check out an actual store....all we have in this tiny town is the PX (millitary store sorta like a tiny wal mart) and a Wal Mart....
we've never found out what we're having....it's partly what's the big deal...it's either one or the other...and really for the first few months/years the kid's not gonna care about much...and partly...I REALLY want another girl and if I had to spend the rest of the time being preg and knowing it was a boy I'd be kinda ticked...I'll love what ever Ihave when it gets here....I"d just be a ticked prego lady...LOL
also I'm trying to change my dh's mind on the girls name we've had picked out for a whie...I still like it...I just found somthing I like more....
for a girl (the name we both like ) Seffani Valentine
(the name I'm trying to talk him into) AnnMarie Valentine (and not not cause it'll be born in Feb...it's from Ender's Game...it's his big sister's name)
and for a boy it'll be Ender Troy (and yes we're a bit obsessed with reading our youngest right now's name is CharlesWallace Trant from a Wrinkle in Time...sadly our first 2 don't have names from books...Rachel Vanessa and Braden Thomas)

And I wound up making pasta for myself after watching that "Spain: On the road again" show. At 4:30 am! :o

I'm going to be Maid #1 in Robin Hood.
And I am supposed to be AT the school RIGHT NOW! But, since my parents are being eco-friendly and downsizing, my mom has the car, and is at work, and we can't get ahold of her, and I am going crazy. I have to get on my costume and do another girl's makeup, and we go on in an hour and 10 minutes.

I have a flounce for the skirt I'm working on. I'm only working on the flounce b/c I kept sewing the front n back of the skirt together and it was flimsy cotton and I was ticked off at myself b/c the ripped-out stitches kept leaving holes so I just chopped off the flounce with a pinking shears.

I've been considering a vegatarian diet for a while and after seeing a slideshow about veal and dairy production. I'm definetly considerings even more. I just ate meat and after watching the slideshow, I felt the need to purge. Too bad I don't have a gag reflex.
Considering people in this house hase never heard of eating anything that doesn't come in a prepackadged-frozen form, I might just starve. I'd tell them about it, but they don't care. Last time I was a vegetarian (Yea, theres been multiply times, but since I don't have a job, I can't feed myself) they kept trying to force feed me meat. That's because they aren't taking care of themselves. Meat definetly isn't necessary for our bodys to be healthy. The nutrients meat offer are, but not meat. Considering that the nutrients in meat are plentiful available in other foods in higher concentrations.

U are correct.... i think the major thing vegans for get is to get enough protein... most people get theirs from dairy and meat and when thats not an option alot of people have tendencies to gorge on fruit and starches and neglect dark greens, nuts, and beans.

Excuse my language, but my family consists of douches.
I tried being vegetarian
I couldn't do it
But I've limited the amount of beef I eat...I think I eat it twice a year, because my mom cooks reaaally good beef; other than that, I tend to spit it out..
Vegetarian meats are convincingly good; tastes almost the same
It's really expensive though...

To each their own, but a lot of vegetarians often end up very weak and/or brittle, and a lot of times doctors end up telling them that they need to have meat in their body. Try it, but if you end up feeling bad, physically, then you should stick with some occasional meat.
actually, thats not true at all. i know people that have been vegetarian for years and are the healthiest people i know.
I've been vegan for almost a year and I feel better than ever.
the only reason a vegetarian would feel weak is because they're not eating the right nutrients. But the same thing could happen to a meat eater.

IMO, if you make guns seem fun, more teens are going to wanna go out and test them out.
On my local news, they decided to do a segment on gun ranges. Where they showed a teenager going there and shooting this huge freaking gun, then she comes out with her target (A man shaped piece of paper) with guns holes through the chest, telling the camera how "it was so cool!" Then the news station decided to list local gun ranges and how they have ladies night.
I don't think alot of parents would take their child to a gun range, so who knows if they just caused some kid somewhere to start testing out his parents gun, cause he can't get to a gun range.

I do enjoy being a vegetarian myself, when I was 10 or so my mother showed me a video about slaughter houses and industrial farms and emotional scarring did the trick. (Haha, just kidding.) I also hated the taste of meat beforehand so it all worked out.

Well, I've personally killed an animal for food...
And that didn't make me quit eating meat.
I do, however, feel that we're too wasteful now. If we ate all of the animals that we killed, then we wouldn't eat as many animals!
Plus, the ugly bits are the tastiest bits!

I hate it when you call tech support for something and they are completely useless. I bought a microSD card for my cell phone and couldn't get the stupid thing to work right. So I called the cell phone company and some chick is reading me instruction from a manual. She had no idea what she was talking about and I ended up figuring out what I needed to know on my own.
I bet she makes more money than I do too.
I know that should have gone to the long lost pet peeves thread but WTH.
Good news now, I can now use the MP3 feature on my phone. The card I bought cost 10 bucks and the same size card at the cell phone place was 25.

my daughter found the shoe box full of 5 inch squares that my dh's grandma sent me for my bday....in the box was a pattern for a baby quilt consisiting of 72 of the squares (them going thru the box hasn't put a dent in the amount of squares AT ALL).....so she decided to make the new baby one...with her brothers help of course....
now all the squares were either from grandma's stash or other quilters from her guild they had a "charm" swap a while back...the one's she put in the box were the ones she didn't really want.....which is cool...but most of them do not go together well at all...like there's novilty prints in there from everything from season/holiday themes to peacock feathers and teddy bears....and the usual "calico" prints....
each of them picked out 36 squares (with help from the 2yr old as well) and they are working on sewing it together...
I have NO idea what this will turn out looking like as I'm "not allowed to see it till it's done" and she has her own machine in her room and she is supervising her little bro (6yr) when it's his turn to sew....they've both been sewing with supervision since they were 4 each..so no big deal...it's just that I am used to being there when they sew so I can help guide them so they dont' develop bad habbits....
any way I think it's like the cutest/sweetest thing ever...I'll post a pic of it when they get the top done...cause they'll want help quilting/or tying it and binding it I'm sure....I get the "finish this up for us would ya mom" jobs....
