Yes, but can you do a proper hospital corner?

My folks were nurses, and that's my mum's key complaint now; that none of the nurses know how to do the sheets properly.

Happy anniversary everyone!

I saw this teacosy today on the internet and fell in love with it instantly.

Sorry, Coffee. But you're out.

Oh and another thing, I have a fear of packet custard. I find it difficult to post in this thread if it nobody's posted since the last time I read it.

Andandand, I got my learner driver's licence (again) today and damn, I'm good looking.

Now I just have to wait to see if I am accepted, then interview with the department head, and all that fun stuff. Damn more waiting, but I know that I have a pretty good chance of getting in. When I last checked they had only accepted 15 out of a class of 40. Everybody keep your fingers crossed.

I bought nomable wool today. Cleckheaton Vintage Twist. It's got a bit of every colour except purple and it's 100% wool and nomnomnom. I'm gonna make a fidget-type-thing from it.

And I'm really cold. And I found Never Gonna Give You Up (Rick Astley) in French and techno. I didn't think anything could be worse than the techno version of To the Moon and Back (Savage Garden) that was being blasted through someone's phone on the train on Wednesday. But there you go.

I was up until 2am this morning watching The IT Crowd. And I think I might watch some Black Books tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, I'm going for a driving lesson with my Dad.

I hate improper grammar too, TheMysticMuffin.
I don't say anything, but sometimes I just don't talk to people on AIM because of their grammar.
'heyz! wassup where ru'
Aargh!
Another thing that makes me mad, is the improper grammar in thread titles.
I mean, if you misspell a word, that one thing, but when you don't capitalize or punctuate. I mean I'm not talking about gerunds, proper clauses, and all that, but the basics will do wonders!

Ill admit, my grammar sucks in when I'm typing. but then.. it's really hard to type properly when you've got a parrot who is *fascinated* with the clicky thing you're playing with. I have to type with one hand and fight her off with the other. and if I'm lucky what I'm typing is hopefully intelligeble. spell check only fixes so much. (shes in bed right now.)

and I say lolz way to much. strange habit I've picked up. although I really only say it when talking to a certain person who also says it.

Ha. Well, I don't know how well they'll survive. They're not as classic as the Beatles and the Rolling Stones (I love them ,too). They might crash and burn because they don't have an adaptable sound, or the girls might still be all over them and they'll be a hit.

great

hey are men all circumsized where ur from????

No, only a very small minority. Because we have a smaller/less vocal Jewish community, Circumcision isn't something that's worked its' way into the Hospitals.

In fact, I only know one circumcised man, and he's Jewish so...

Which is a good thing, since infant circumcision is bad.

i agree... and congrats on living in a land not hell bent on steeling your foreskin at birth

i only ask because my friend lost her virginity to a scottish sailor while in turkey... i asked if he was intact and she said she didn't think so, but wasn't shure.

Is not! At least it makes it easier for the infant (when he grows up into a sex-obsessed teenage boy) to put on a condom, since he wouldn't have to lift the foreskin up.

i've lost respect for you.........tisk

apparently you don't even know what a foreskin is........... u don't lift it, u slide it back

and if u have a son i hope u do not choose to mutilate him. the foreskin is there to protect the penis. and no need for lube hehehe

Unless you have a medical problem of having a foreskin which is too tight - Phimosis - the foreskin can and does retract when the smurf is erect. Although the foreskin and glans are fused together by a mucus membrane, this gradually disintegrates, and the foreskin can generally move freely by adolescence.

What I'm against in terms of infant circumcision is that it is an unnecessary cosmetic medical procedure, done at a time when the patient cannot give their own consent. What's more, the process is essentially irreversible.

Can a robt distinguish between a zombie and a human? Then again, I doubt the zombies would notice the robots, since they aren't human...

Lanced it and drew soome of the blood, so the swelling's down, and I'm cleaning it with antiseptic and saline.I think they could distinguish. The zombies are kind of decomposing. It depends on their programming and well, the robots wouldn't take over until they were completely ready. Good point about zombies not noticing robots, I think we're screwed from that angle. Even if the robots ignore us and pwn zombies instead, the zombies will lead them straight to us. I think our only hope is to hide in a shopping centre. But we all know these kinds of things only happen in America, no matter where the original book or movie was set. :p

because of the ACPA(Aussie, Corset, Protection, Act of 1942) witch states in section 32B; a person who wishes to obtain a corset must have proof of citizenship, be at least 21 years of age, be of sound mind and body, and have no prior criminal offences involving corset(s). Or a person at least 18.5 years of age may obtain a corset from a blood relative apon their death.Lol.

Actually, I just decided I was gonna take a corsetry course for my 21st birthday, and the first one I wanted to wear was the one I made.

When I'm 21 I'm also gonna get my ears pierced again, get a tattoo and dye my hair blue.

A corset, like the thing Corrine teached us how to make?
You have to have all that for that!?
WHY?

Recent? I don't do recent too well.

But I mean that while Bowie is really awesome, he doesn't garner the same kind of credit for work in the genre as Lou Reed and Iggy Pop, both of whom he helped to re-build themselves after their original bands (Velvet Underground and the Stooges, respectively) went their separate ways.

I know a few people who make extra cash that way. Most of them are paid by craft stores (like Michaels and what not). I'm just miffed that I don't have the time to learn to knit (and I really, really want to).

I know, I saw that when I was catching up on old eps (I missed a few in the rush of work and school). When I'm not dead tired (and supposed to be working on a paper, not being on the forums), I'm going to watch it and see what I can figure out. And possibly pick up Stitch'n'Bitch the next time I'm at work. I've been eyeing that book for a while, but the interview with the author sealed the deal for me.

The only people I know who actually do it for money are a few older coworkers who do it more for enjoyment than anything else, but a little extra cash never hurts. They're also really, really good at it too.

Knitting while driving? Is that even possible? lol...

I wish there was a good bus system around here so I wouldn't have to drive. :/ Well, I guess that's suburbia for ya. I'm relishing my upcoming move to the city so I won't have to rely on my car so much. Unfortunately, classes aren't for knitting, they're for homework. I don't know how I'd be able to pull off work and school, especially now that my last round of finals (for a long time, anyway) are coming up.
